Supermarket ones are more often too dry or too soggy. Red Roosters are more expensive, but pretty consistent.

For a larger meal, 2 of those for 12 bucks is pretty good. Would I ever pay 12 bucks for one? Not a chance. Fast food prices are a complete joke these days. I only ever get it when I have vouchers (mainly Hungry Jacks).

Me too. Last time I went to Red Rooter was for the 2-for-1 Caesar Wrap thingo. Ate both of those myself, don't think I could repeat the double for this one, but there's no harm in trying I suppose :)

Most the fastfood places around me aren't fastfood places. lol Stand in line for half an hour to get a meal for $10 that is more like a snack. Yeah its only ever worth it if you can get a voucher or an app, thanks ozbargain. :D If you must eat out on the cheap then depending where you live you could find some dive pub or an rsl, actually my local rsl isn't that bad and even does large meals for $8. :)

It's not a good sign when the meal looks this unappealing even in the promotional photo! Still enjoy the chicken and chips at Red Rooster though.

….My local just closed a month or so ago….. I guess i'll never taste that again. :(
I just had one … new I should have checked ozbargain before I left work. The meal is pretty average though and not very filling for $12. Its only on my way out that I saw there was another version of the meal minus the pineapple for $10…would have preferred that one.
