Oooo look at me, I read the post

          /s

  • Tried this with my phone in store, phone was not fine as they didn’t accept this as they wanted the physical printed out.

    • I dont know if I should mention this, but I was on a roadtrip from Cairns to Brisbane the other day and stopped off at HJ's in Rockhampton to do the whopper hack, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they actually laminate the whole sheet and stick it to the front counter!

  • +2

Is there a beef shortage at HJS?

    • +1

Less beef is going to come through the doors if the focus is on plant food….

      • +6

I tried a plant based Whopper thanks to a shake and win offer on their app. Never again. It was horrendous.

        • -2

It's actually not too bad. Most people don't notice until you tell them, I discovered when shouting them lunch.

          • -8

@BewareOfThe Dog: Reminds me of a funny story. A colleague's sister married into a muslim family and her kids are raised muslim. So the colleague feeds her nieces and nephews food with pork whenever they stay over and tells them it's beef or something else. They love it though.

            • +3

@tenpercent: That's not funny, that's messed up. It's super gross and a terrible reflection on you that you find it funny. Imagine going out of your way to do something that would really upset your sibling and brother in law if they found out. What a pathetic, sad, little person.

            • @tenpercent: happened to me once. was getting stricter with Hindu diet and someone fed me beef meatballs as a surprise. if that's the case, they will be pissed when they find out.

      • +5

I like plant food; I just don't like it when my plant food has to pretend to be something they are not, in order to fit in. It's 2025.

beef shortage everywhere, it’s why more chicken based items at maccas and HJ, and with beef shortage in usa and usa buying more australian beef , australian beef price will go even higher … watch landline and see what beef is worth in sale yards.

    • +1

Yes, they, just like Mack Donalds, have resorted to using Soylent Green, so its all good!

You get better deals in the app.

  • These vouchers just keep getting better and better, for the top highly paid executives of Hungry Jacks that is, as idiots will think these are good deals and use them.

Plus, get a free Bday Whopper at the same time as a full price whopper and compare the difference, even a shake and win discounted whopper is skimped on compared to a full price whopper.
I just make my own knock off whoppers at home and they are soo much better.

    • +1

Where do you knock them off from? Back of a truck?

    • I wondered why the pre-discount price on the promo items in the app is different than the price on normal menu items.

    • The whopper hack has still working a treat here in QLD! In fact, compared to SA, I have had no resistance here whatsoever! But yeah, very sad to see no return of the whopper once again. I read a week or so ago that Jack Cowan was gonna remove dominos vouchers aswell. Guy must be hell bent on robbing every cent from us all…

**When I was a child, EVERY STORE I went to had a sign that said:

Rule #1 - The customer is always right
      Rule #2 - Refer to Rule #1

Obviously we know the customer isnt always right, but this sign served as their commitment to customer satisfaction. That obviously went out the window many years ago, never to be seen again (2005+?). Cant even find an example in a Search Engine, maybe someone out there has a retro 90s photo? I tell the HJ managers all time, after all, I been frequenting HJ's for 30+ years, I expect to be satisfied. If this was an airline I would have probably had 3 around-the-world trips by now in loyalty points by now, but all I have is obesity and health problems, REAL REWARDS!…

Dont pay $10.35 for a single whopper when you can pay $6~ for the same product. If only I find 1 slice of tomato I always go back to the counter aswell. If a Whopper Jnr comes with 1 slice, how does a full size Whopper not come with 2x minimum?

In saying this though, ive migrated to Carl's Jnr recently. Its like HJ's but next level IMHO. Top tier shakes and the burgers taste like HJ's used to. Sure it costs more, but they also have drink refills just like HJs used to. I sit in Carl Jnrs reminiscing about the old HJs and what was…

      R.I.P HJs… </3

      • Do you mind educating me on the whopper hack if its still valid for WA stores?

  • +1

I recall in the year 2000, getting 2 whoppers, 2 cheesberger, 4 small chips, + 4 small drinks for $9.95 (free refills). GST came and the price went up to $10.95.

I miss the Bacon Deluxe deals.

Are you reading this Jack Cowan?

    • bacon deluxe deals were good, but that is now 4 beef patties and with current beef prices not cheap if you want to have an offer and it’s under $10.

    • You cant be serious? Jack Cowin listening to customers?!

HAR HAR HAR CHOKE ON LAUGHTER HAR HAR HAR HAR fallsoffchair

If he did they wouldnt be 'suffering losses'.

      https://thenightly.com.au/business/dominos-executive-chair-j…

In my eyes, the guy is starting to look like the monopoly man himself! I might have to go to specsavers and get checked i think…

Looks like, bring your own Pepsi Max, if you want a Drink (or Beer)

    • +1

yes, i take my own drink, they seem to avoid a combo meal deal so that they can try and sell an extra item, mc value meal or HJ app small cheese burger meal seem to be the offer if you want burger chips and drink.

      • Yes I do the same now after they changed the fries to those shit 'thick cut' chips. Its not a combo with those chips, more like a trash stomach filler. Im sure im offending somebody here, but the fries, onion rings and sweet and sour sauce should of never ever of been changed.

When Subway said they were discontinuing Thousand Island sauce, there was outrage! Have a look at their response compared to any (if any) response from HJs…

Watched 'A beautiful bold journey' last nite and caught a glimpse of the O.G onion rings at the start of the movie. I didnt almost tear up but in retrospect I really should have! Maybe Burger King > HJs?

Maybe BK should start opening restaurants again down under? Its very evident Jack Cowin has gone Senile and doesnt know how to run a fair business anymore. Its time to hit the road Jack!

  • I think these are the same as the previous vouchers that just expired.

    • Yes they are! RUBBISH!

  • +1

All the HJs stores near me do not believe in phone is fine. I got told 'i physically cant enter it in without it' lol. Like htf is it my fault that the vouchers dont get delivered to me

    • Wait till you see my comment above anout the Rocky store ROFL!

Sometimes you can just ask 'Can I get a voucher sheet please?' when you walk up to the counter, and if they hum-and-ahh, just say 'Yeah usually you got a stack of them under the counter there'. Say it with confidence and point under the cash register with your index finger like you can see them through the countertop.

Most stores keep a stack, they just dont like handing them out. Must affect their profits on a franchise level or something…

I use a simple algorithm to determine whether fast food deals are worth it: small beef patties are worth $2, big ones $4, eggs $2, small chips $1, big chips $2, soft drinks $0. There are fewer and fewer deals out there.

  • +1

I remember the 2 for $6.95 Bacon Deluxe back in 2017. RIP

  • +1

McSmart meal beats this hands down. Also when I've said "I have a voucher" in the drive through they've never actually asked to see it or hand it over

    • They’re McSmart-arses with the McSmart: you have to hunt around to find it. Even the front counter crew sometimes don’t know about it.
