Hi rep - would you be interested in doing these at the same price? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/JULIUS-MARLOW-MENS-SHOES-LACE-UP-…

and is the size marked inside the shoe US or AU on your JM's?

    • I need to know this too! I'm wearing some right now which say size 10. 10 What!?!

EDIT: "Sizes 6 to 13 AUS/UK are available!" Looks like the sizing is AUS/UK

Price has been reduced for you!

    • +1

I've reduced the price to be the same for you. The shoes are made in AUS/UK sizes.

      • Thanks Rep. I previously bought these from you JM Clout http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/JULIUS-MARLOW-MENS-LEATHER-SHOES-… and they are marked 11 (Sorry at work so I can't check the order but can check my feet). So I gather the Hex style will be marked the same. in which case you don't have them in stock. Once again thanks for offering the discount.

  • waiting for the prices to reduce to the previous sale price of $39.95
will i need to wait forever?

    • +1

      Same here

    • Hi sorry the price of $39.95 will not be repeated. The styles on offer today are new and not old stock.

  • If it doesn't fit, can I send it back to get a refund or exchange?

  • Won't be buying Julius Marlow shoes (maybe if the insole is improved).

I bought 2 pairs and after a month I was regretting my decision. The insole at the heel is fine, the the part of the insole closer the the toes is terrible! Flimsy, very thin and comes out of the shoe every time you take it off. Placing it back into position required you to shove your hand all the way up as half the insole is so flimsy that you cant push it in form the heel section. If you don't place it back into position it hardens up in its position (folded or curved).

The first pair I threw out after less than 2 months and the second pair I glued the insoles into place.

I suggest you either make the insole a bit thicker and sturdier or at least glue the damn thing on!

I like the designs and you have decent sales from time to time, but this current insole is definitely keeping me away.

you may need to tell china.

i don't think the Op makes them.

      • Yes I realised it wasn't a Julius Marlow rep after I posted, but hey it's info for buyers.

I had the bottom sole wear through in 6-8 weeks of minimal walking on pavement. Three times. Got them replaced under warranty each time. Gave up eventually.

Factor in another $40 to get the sole replaced with something durable prior to it wearing through.

If you're still intent on them, they are cheaper at david jones - enter SHOE50 and then WELCOME = $45 (click and collect) or try SHOE50 and TREATME5 to see if you stay above $50 for free delivery.

I second this (partly). The Julius Marlow shoes I bought from Williams a while back had a not so great insole. After a matter of months it became tattered, started peeling, moved around, and had holes in it. All I did was buy some memory foam insoles from Williams for around $5-$10 and put these in which helped a lot.

Other than this though, the shoes have been great! The sole is made from some proprietary material they seem to call "Diamondsole" or something. It is a very rugged rubber material and is incredibly durable! I have had the same pair of shoes now for around two years, whereas a pair with leather soles (of another brand) lasted me 3 months before wearing through the bottom completely.

TL;DR - If you're gonna get Julius Marlows, make sure you get the ones with the rubber sole, and be prepared to replace the insoles after a few months.

  • Does JM make shoes that don't have pointy toes?

  • is this brand better than, say Rockport?

    • a different take on shoes really. rockport are at the 'comfort' end of things where these are at the 'style' end of things.
