    • The knock-off is better? The hell?! 2600mAh vs 1400mAh and 1A vs 600mA.

        "2600mAh"

    Given a mobile phone charger is only 5W, with $79.95 to pay elec bill to charge all my tech gears, I could use this amount of money for a few decades, longer than the lifespan of this product.

      Pretty much this. Not to mention the energy/waste gone to make this product far outweighs the energy saved in the long run.

    • +1

      True, but while camping or away from the grid, it might actually be useful.

      i halved my mobile charging bills by charging them at the office like everybody else. ;)

      $79.95 would probably the cost of charging it over 3 years.

      Apparently iPad users (as an example) use less than 12 kWh of electricity a year. If you were on a tariff of 20c per kWh, that's $2.40. http://www.techhive.com/article/258272/annual_cost_of_ipad_c…

      So your $80 could instead go power your gear for 33 years - decades as you said : )

      • actually, not if you watch pr0n on it all the time… it would be more like 3 months ;)

    Roughly, given a kw/hr is approx $0.27 here in W.A and you charge your phone for 4hrs each day then

    $79.95 = 0.005 (5w in kw) x 4(hrs) x days x $0.27
    79.95 = 0.0054 x days
    days = 14805

    It'll take 40.56 years to recoup your costs.

    Calculation doesn't factor in inflation, leap years or the depletion of world oil reserves

    • depletion of world oil reserves

      Isn't electricity generated using coal?

  • lol….. Guess the guy who posted this deal won't have any idea this post getting so technical :-D
