7ft per second, or 7.68km/h, for those who would actually like to know how fast it moves. Roughly a brisk walk.

I would also like to point out the statement, 'your new best friend'. Lonely OP?

  • These things are pretty cool. Dunno if I would pay $150 for an RC robo ball but check out the youtube vids. Pretty cool.

  • I've got one of these, though I haven't worked out what I'm doing with it yet :) Price is good though for Australian stock.

  • It looks like it could fly!

Whose up for a game of quidditch?

  • This would be awesome as a 3d mouse for computer modeling..

    • I haven't got mine yet, from what I've read, some of the apps do use the sphero as a controller.

  • If I order one now, will I recieve it before the 20th?
    I'm in Melbourne.

    • Yes we have it in-stock you will receive it before 20th

  • I am the same, if I order it on Sunday, will it also arrive in Melbourne CBD (office) by 20 Dec?

Also, I'd like to order the little Sphero wrap thing as well bit I did not see it. Do you have it in stock under a different name?

I couldn't wait for a response from MWave so I bought the limited edition one from Apple at the Apple Chadstone (Victoria) on Sunday. It is lots of fun and I ended up sticking a ribbon on it and had a few good bonding sessions with my cat. :-)

There are a large number of apps for this program and using it as a control takes a bit of practice (ie. knowing that you can control your spaceship by tilting it around and that you turn by spinning left and right).

The main thing for me to get is a Nubby cover so I an really feel safe when taking it out on the hard surfaces at home but I cannot find any in a physical store. So far the best I can get is via eBay (roughly AU@21-22) (free) shipped from HK. The other stores you see via a GetPrice or ShopBot have excessive shipping charges or in the case of DWI, have to purchase a minimum of AU$50 of goods to get free shipping.

Was hoping to get a cover before I flew off to relax on the beach with my ball but I guess I'll have to try without it.

      Regards
      Daniel

    • Hi Daniel,

Sorry for the late reply, as it is Monday and was really tied up and haven't had time to check OzBargain.

      Anyway to answer your questions:

      1. Yes we can delivery by 20th DEC. In-fact if you order right now as of 4.33pm you should receive it by 19th DEC.

      2. The rubber wrap things are not coming into Australia until next year, reason being its the distributors didn't bring them in yet.

      Cheers =P
