ESET NOD32 Antivirus and Security Software 20% off Code Prices Range from $12-180 for Home User

cheers

The ESET Family Security Pack 3 includes: 3 computers + 3 Android devices for $84.95 fpr 1 year.

I just grabbed a 3 year licence for 3 PCs + 3 Android tablets which after the 20% discount cost me $143.16 AUD to cover my Windoze partition (for gaming) my wife and son's PCs and each of our Android tablets including anti-theft software.

I always used to use freebie anti-virus software until I go the AFP virus on two different machines. One I was able to fix manually by booting into LINUX and going into my Win7 system files (via LINUX) and manually deleting the culprit file but the other one was tougher to find. I tried eset NOD32 free trial and it worked. Since then I have been thinking of actually paying up for Anti-virus software for the first time in my life and finally took the plunge. LOL!

The prices vary depending on your needs and whether it's for home or business but the 20% voucher seems to apply to all licences.

Hope this is of use to someone and that I that don't sound like a total fanboy!

P.S. I've always thought eset's artwork looks kind of cool ;-)

I administer a mid-size network of PCs via the ESET Admin Console. Great product.

Microsoft Security Essentials works great for me, which is much closer to what ozbargainers are prepared to pay for antivirus software these days…. nothing its free, effective and low on the bloat.

  • I've been using this. It's about to expire in a few days.

I haven't had any major complaints with it besides some false positives, but that happens with all of them.

The settings interface is a bit cluttered and I sometimes have difficulty locating the screen where I can firewall off exe files from accesssing the internet.

It's not draining on my resources, which is the most important thing to me.

But I'm not paying these prices for it. It's cheaper to buy a code off ebay. I'm going to try another product when it expires. I might give Bitdefender another go since I have a few free codes.

  • Again Australia is screwed on software. I live in Germany, and picked up a 5-license 3 year license for 50€ earlier in the year (still available with a coupon code, but they'll only sell with a German address).

    • I did check the US site before buying and it was slightly more expensive than the Aus version and that's before counting the coupon code or exchange rates.

That said, I agree with you. For example Corel, whose software I LOVE; especially VideoStudio Pro Ultimate, sent me an e-mail about their wonderful 'sale'. I popped over to their US site and the prices were about HALF. And these sleaze bags corporations wonder why people choose to dl their software for free. (Not that I'm condoning that of course.)

  • The one problem I had with ESET was that a lot of virus got detected in my computer after I uninstalled it and installed another antivirus, so since then I haven't been wanting to use it

    • Maybe the other anti virus installled it.

      • Don't think so, I used Panda back then, was really good actually.
        Now using Bitdefender.

    • That other AV didn't happen to be Norton did it?

      • Nope, Norton was always crap

  • I just installed trial on my low end htpc, its fairly lightweight compared to avg and Norton.
