    Amazon shipping is complex. There is a per shipment fee (usually $8-10) and a per weight fee (usually $4 per pound). Books and optical media are much cheaper, and have per item fes.

    Amazon prices went up steeply 10 months ago :( It used to be $2.50 per pound.

  I bought the cheapest Jacket, Kenneth Cole REACTION for $40.99 then used the $5 off $35 promotion to bring it down to $35.99 plus $13.98 shipping.

  That said, I won't be wearing it any time soon.
