how to install amazon appstore(from their website)

NEW TO AMAZON APPSTORE?

1. Download the Amazon Appstore here.
2. Open Settings and navigate to the “Unknown Sources” option (under Applications or Security depending on your device).
   Android requires that Unknown Sources be enabled for non-Google apps, like Amazon Appstore, to be installed on your device.
3. Tap the checkbox and then tap OK on the confirmation popup.
4. Download any app or game from the Appstore. (Yes, even a free one.)
5. Enjoy! We will send you a confirmation via email once the credit is added to your account. Most credits are applied within a minute, but processing may take up to an hour.

  I've changed my kindle address to a USA one.

    Have you "changed country" in the kindle device settings area or just the actual postal address?

    You need to do both.

    Also, make sure you are running the latest app version (7.5.00..etc)

  so after 2 days of reinstalling the app store, downloading a dozen apps, and waiting… still no code :|
  tried through both the AUS and US stores too. this is bs

    Read my post above and others in the thread. If you want the credit, you need to have the right configuration.

    Once the config is correct you only need to download one app for the credit to show up (pops up on the screen straight away and then info via email).

    If you already have Amazon app, just update it to the latest version.
    Then install the free app, you'll get the email says:
    " Promotional Credit from Amazon Appstore

    Dear ….,

    Thank you for downloading an app from the Amazon Appstore.
    We have added a $5.00 …… blah blah"

    So there is no code.

  Anyone found something worth downloading? Selection seems limited and most of the paid apps look really buggy from the reviews.

  Got the email on $5 credit but how do you check how much is left in your account? Can't find any where in Amazon appstore
