Miele S5211 Family Caretaker 2200w Vacuum $149 (Save $139) @ TGG

200

Picked up one just now at the Bayswater store. Couldn't see them on the floor but apparently they have a whole pallet left which is another 14 units. Hopefully this price is available at other TGG stores.

  • Are these any good or better to go for another model/ brand?

  • Which Sydney TGG's are open today??

  • Can anybody confirm this is available elsewhere? The website has them listed as a clearance item for $288.00

  • damn it, i purchased this one just past 6 months ago with my 28 degree card.

    • How is it?

      • I was going to go for the Dyson DC37 but after reading the happy reviews here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/123169 I decided to go for this model. Thanks for the reviews guys.

Miele is as good if not better than Dyson. The construction and suction mechanism is simple; tried and proven. Dyson has too many complicated bits and parts. Try dissecting one. One of my mates has a dyson of few years old and swore never to get another dyson again. Its broken and too complex to fix.

      • bit of a no-brainer at this price.

      • it's pretty sturdy machine, strong suction but my rental house is too old and carpets are dirty, so the bag get filled up pretty quick, currently looking for new bag. The air smells like sour milk now once I use it now because of whatever it pick up from my baby's leftover. I guess because it doesn't have hepatic filter or whatever the saleman told me.

          spare the details.

        • You could always change the filter to a normal one or a Hepa one anytime.

  • Bayswater store is my usual local store from work, but they are not answering the phone today. Argh

  • Any one close to the bayswater store? I can't get them on the phone. I am registered as a customer on their system. Unfortunately 60km away atm.

  • This was posted on FB - our Sydney stores are closed for the Boxing Day Holiday today, but will reopen tomorrow. You can shop online at www.thegoodguys.com.au. Thanks

        • True. But face to face can be different to talking to someone on the phone. Where's your Boxing Day bargaining spirit!?

        • went in store and asked the dude to price match. "are you the one who rang earlier?" "sorry, but the best price i can do is $249, which i quoted earlier". my bargaining spirit is outta the window now.

        • Ha…well done mate. Sorry my optimism sent you on a bit of a goose chase. Sounds like everyone else had similar stories where the sales staff would just not budge.

  • Annoyed as Bayswater is my usual store and they would hold it for me to pay on pick up. Just can't get there today.

  • is a turbo dust interceptor increase the lifespan of a bagged vacuum like a Miele S5211 or is it just a waste of money?
