Woolworths is giving us one more chance to snag a 20c/L Fuel Discount When Spending $100 or More in their store since the ACCC will put an end to fuel discount vouchers from supermarkets over 4c/l from 2014 onwards (although discounts may still be available at the fuel outlets).

Offer ends 31/12/2013

    So can you buy your fuel with 20c discount up to 28 days after purchase or does it need to be bought by 31dec?

      T/C says it's vaild for 28 days after purchase.

          true, Coles even give me $5 discount as part of it (over $70), hence I just spent $90 there with $10 flybuys dollars + $5 off + 20c off fuel voucher =>$75 for $90 value plus 20c fuel voucher ;)

      I also searched for Coles discounts on OzBargain - can't find anything relating to it.

    i recv'ed an email invitation from Coles, having to spend $80 for 20c/l fuel discount voucher, $90 for 25c/l and $100 for 30c/l.

      My offer was for 25c off with purchases of $100 on 31/12/13but when I tried to redeem it today, was told it was invalid. The voucher says it expires January 28, 2014.

    ACCC is doing fuel consumer no favour. but also can't see how they help pull down fuel prices competition in short or long term

      Cross-subsidies make it difficult for indie servos to compete so eventually you would have ended up with two large companies controlling fuel sales in Australia. Then you see prices go up.

        prices have gone up anyway thanks to the lower AUD. that, and they'll find other excuses to use for hiking up the price.

        and most days in perth, it's either a coles or ww servo that's the cheapest before discounts

          Around here my local BP has the lowest price when I don't have a voucher and it's a toss up when I do have a 4c or 8c voucher. Coolies servos were definitely uncompetitive a fortnight ago when they assumed everybody had the recent 16/17c voucher. So it depends on where you are.

          Also your Perth price curve is a very regular sawtooth so there's less price jostling there.

    I predict a month of confusion for co-branded servo owners trying to figure out if they should target their prices to customers with still valid vouchers or everybody.
