Amazon do have a pack with the original and this expansion for $19.99, but while the expansion is on sale you would be better to pick up the XCOM Collection which has all the classic XCOM games, and XCOM: Enemy Unknown and some DLC for EU for $9.99 here (this collection is one Steam key)

As always you will need a valid US address on your account to purchase digital games from Amazon, personally I choose to stay at the LVH when I buy games. It has been noted that you should pick an address in a state where Amazon do not charge Sales Tax list here

  Will the sales tax be deducted from the 9.99 the same way amazon uk deducts VAT, or is there an extra charge on top?

  I ask because I have always used a California address and have never paid extra or received deductions.

  Also this game is excellent!

    Extra charge on top if your billing address is in one of the states that they charge sales tax (see link in OP)

      Strange as I have never received any extra charges and according to the amazon faq regarding sales tax California is a sales tax state…..

  I have been waiting for this expansion to be cheaper, XCOM: EU was my GOTY for 2013. (Yes I know it released in 2012, I was waiting until it got cheaper lol.)

  Did anyone get a $5 credit at Amazon for this purchase?

  I'm wondering why I got an email saying I got $5 to my next purchase and think buying this may have done it.

    Yeah anything that you purchased in December (round about) would have qualified for a $5 Editors Choice credit, I think the full list of qualifying games go up tomorrow
