Masters do not give 10% discount on appliances price match.

    • Where did you get that from?
I just called up Masters and they also did it for $467.28 for me

      • He's right. It's all in their stores.

Will beat any price by 10% (Excludes Appliances)

I did manage to get 10% off of my Dyson DC54 in Canberra on New Years Day but it was only due to one of the old signs still claiming that they would beat it being above the Dyson's. They took it down whilst I was in their and explained that the new rules were brought in a month ago.

        • I just called their hotline and asked the lady whether they price match the Dyson.
She said they do, but it can't be on 'sale'.

Also thought I ask if it's possible to also apply staff discount (5%) on top of the price match (10%), she said it's one or the other.

Also, I recently bought the DC37c from Masters, price matched TGG.

        • Yes they match appliances in store as well but just won't beat according to the signs up now. It seems that there is some lack of communication though between the stores and the online team.

        • Ahhh, yeah mis-read your post.

I'll give it a crack tomorrow and see how it goes :-).

I just came home with this product from Masters in Preston, Victoria. They price beat the Myer sale price by 10%. Final price is $467.28 (because Myer sale price is actually $519.20, not $519). I also paid with WISH giftcards which I bought at 5% discount as a member of RACV, so I actually paid $443.92 for this product.

I called their customer service number yesterday to ask about their policy on price beat for appliances, and they confirm they do price beat everything by 10%, including appliances. The "exclude appliances" policy is their old policy.

When in store, before I made the purchase, I asked 2 different staffs the same question again and get the same answer both times. One of them explained that "for appliances, we used to price beat, changed it to price match only, then changed it again to price beat".

It was really confusing as the big sign at the car park entrance still has "for appliance, we match it" written on it, but they must have forgotten to remove that.

    • Masters do beat appliances by 10%. I queried the online team on their "price guarantee" statement 3 weeks ago and asked why is the price guarantee mentioned online different from the instore. The person confirmed that it is incorrect for the store to put up price guarantee sign which excluded appliances.

I think when Masters first opened doors, their price guarantee included appliances. Then for a short period they excluded appliances but have recently reinstated it.

      • Not completely true, only price matching appliances is mentioned on their website, it's in item number 2 on the 50 Reasons to Visit Masters page. Seems there is some confusion & some people have been able to get the price beat on appliances.

        • I retract my statement, hjk above shows that beating prices on appliances is back on (the Masters catalogue that arrived yesterday didn't mention anything about exceptions for appliances). Confusion reigns with even their staff & website, hopefully it becomes clearer in the future.

  • They do online, I just did click and collect and then rang for the refund came out to $467.28

  • I also have been using one since Xmas ans concur. It is awesome. My neighbour has the dc44 after trying mine has decided to sell it and and buy the dc 59 animal

Would I be out of line by saying, what the hell is a Dyson DC59 Animal?
Is it a vacuum? Wipper snipper? It's not clear from the picture or the description,………

Maybe it's a high end "bedroom appliance"?

Did you try to google those three words before posting three lines of text here?

      • Why would it not be in the description for the item itself,…………

Never heard of Dyson?? When you see deals for 4GB Xbox 360 or 500GB PS3 do you have similar issues?

        • +1

Dyson is GENERALLY a Vacuum, however they sell other products - based on the picture, I'm still unsure what this product is.

        • Still haven't googled it?

  • just letting people know the Bonus Dyson tool kit is now expired (on 24/Dec/2013)

    • Seems like you still get it for free if you purchase from Dyson directly on its website, but then you have to pay $649.

  • Bought one from Masters with delivery because no stock in the store close my area.

  • Just went and bought one today at the Forrestdale store in Perth.
Price matched for $467.10 as the lady plugged it in as original price of $519 :-).

Then used gift cards purchased from RAC for the additional 5% off.

Just used the vacuum for our hard floors and working like a treat, great buy for anyone that doesn't have a hand-held stick yet.

    • Hi Chuns,

I just go in touch with a Masters store here in Sydney, and they are willing to price match it if you could send me a pic of your receipt. If you could help out a fellow OzBargainer that would be great!

        Here you go :-).

If there's anything I should have censored then let me know, otherwise I didn't see any sensitive info there.

Note the use of the gift cards :-) haha.

Good luck, and hope they still price match it for you.

        • Thanks Chuns

You are the best, will try my luck when I pop into their store on Thurs

          Cheers

        • Actually I'm the best, Chuns does run a close second though.

        • I'll take third place, never like being second best :p.

  • Can someone upload a receipt. Hubby just decided he wanted a Dyson so I'm gonna try my luck and ring Masters tomorrow to see if they will match the price that you guys have gotten. Thanks heaps.
