$25 Groceries Voucher. G2U. No Min Spend! Free Shipping! Sydney Only

841
S25

Another online groceries start-up! This one based in Sydney only, and delivers to limited areas of Sydney only as well, so use the postcode checker first to avoid disappointment. (To access the postcode checker, add any item to your cart.)

The voucher code gives you $25 credit on your groceries order. NO MINIMUM SPEND! FREE SHIPPING ON 1ST 5 ORDERS!
They seem to have a wide selection of supermarket style groceries, prices are just OK. Better are their specialist produce offerings, which are more along the lines of Aussie Farmers, but cheaper I think. I tried their Haberfield bakery bread (delicious!) and the fruit & veg was great as well.
They even let you pay on delivery with mobile EFTPOS.
So, a freebie if you spend under $25!
Business seems to be keen and well organised! 5 free deliveries will get repeat trade from me.
T&C apply, you may want to check website, multiple accounts not permitted.

Even if expired. With the free 5 deliveries and prices are the same or so for woolies / coles I think people should still order from them.

      Give them a try

      I agree.

Already planning a second order. Mostly the bulk stuff, and maybe seafood? Those NZ and SA clams look good.

  • Waiting for my sms code. I almost forgot to apply the code

    • +1

pay by credit card, i tried 10 times and no sms code

      • but everyone above is saying code expired

        • ah well

        • sad face. no sms code and i did try to apply the code again after i read your comment but it was expired

  • This company seems to be part of chrisco, I think they can afford it.

    • How did you come to that conclusion?

      The same website developers?

      • The domain DNS:

        Name Server: ns1.chriscogroup.com
        Name Server: ns2.chriscogroup.com
        Name Server: ns3.chriscogroup.com

        • ah interesting…

  • it says coupon has expired

  • Yah, coupon expired now

  • Yep, I get the message "The requested coupon has expired"

  • Now says EXPIRED…

  • Re. Coupon Expired Message.

I think those who had the coupon accepted will be 'OK'.

I printed out the order/delivery details etc. after I paid.

  • +2

i gotta say it was actually hard picking all this free stuff cause they do have a good selection….

  • +1

Expired while I had an active cart with the code already applied (yeah it was hard picking the free stuff). Dang.
G2U had some pretty decent prices.

    • +5

So? what is stopping you from ordering from them? You will go shopping this or next week right? Might as well order from g2u! :D

Some of their seafood looks good. mmmmmmm home delivered seafood

  • +1

got 9 x 600ml Coca-Cola Zero and get free 90 token point. Wahhoo

  • they do 44 to 45 deliveries an evening, the deliveries are booked out till monday.

so lets say 150 x $25 + wages for delivery so if around 5k to 7k it is worth it concidering the advertising they get out of this, esp word of mouth advertising.

let's see how this performs though.

  • I just checked my Delivery Tracking…and my order has been cancelled! Anyone else?
i ordered about 10 mins after this deal was posted last night.

    • Yes mine too!

    • Yep, order cancelled as well -
      "THIS ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED
If you believe that this order has been cancelled in error, please
      contact us."

      • yeah me too.

Oh well. Nothing lost nothing gained.

        • yeah me too.

Did your order go over the $25 ?

        • No under.

How much over did you go over the $25?

        • How much over did you go over the $25?

          Not much, like $10.

Still, I was late in ordering. Perhaps they are cancelling in order of when the order was placed?

      • Yep, order cancelled as well -
        "THIS ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED
If you believe that this order has been cancelled in error, please
        contact us."

Please contact them, and ask what was 'wrong'.

Was your order total more than $25?

        • Nah, it was under $25 so I'm not too surprised that it was cancelled given the amount of 'free' orders that went through.

    • I just checked my Delivery Tracking…and my order has been cancelled! >Anyone else?

No, my order is still 'OK'.

I just checked, and it says:-

      "Delivery details

Your order will be delivered between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm on Monday, 13 January 2014 to:

      [redacted for privacy reason]
      VAUCLUSE, NSW
      2030"

My credit card was charged last night.

Did your order go over the $25 ?

  • +4

G2U COULD HAVE made this into a great marketing success story.

    Could have…..

I doubt those with cancelled orders will order again, or tell their family/friends about this great new service.

    • +2

Well, i called them up and they explained to me why they cancelled the orders. Pretty much they said "it was a targeted campaign and somehow the code was leaked to the public"

But they were nice enough that they said they will credit those who had their order cancelled $25 to their cc or bank acc.

Since i choose to pay on delivery, i just gave them my bank acc details. Lets see if i actually get the $25 credit or not. If i do, ill just place my order again.

      • Good Customer Service though. You can try contacting them if you want, but they did say i beat them to the punch as they were in the process of contacting customers to explain what i just said.

        • I concur, very good customer service, the lady on the other end was very apologetic! She also mentioned that the business will be contacting customers who have been affected.

      • Cancelled without any notice even though I ordered more than $25.

Let's see how long the refund takes and whether this claimed $25 credit materializes for anyone/people who don't call them.

        • +1

Let's see how long the refund takes and whether this claimed $25 credit materializes for anyone/people who don't call them.

If they are to give a $25 credit for future orders - why not just accept the current orders?

      • +1

they said they will credit those who had their order cancelled $25 to their cc or bank acc.

        I don't understand.

Why would they give $25 cash / real money to those with cancelled orders? Why not just deliver the order?

If you meant that they would credit the G2U account with $25 - Again, why? Why not just deliver the order?

Does not make business sense to me.

        • Because it will cost them far less to credit the buyers, with the amount (a lot of people ordered <$25 worth of goods), than to waste more time and effort in actually purchasing / delivering the goods.

      clara attalanta

      Welcome to OzBargain.

We're currently processing all the orders from last night.

Does this mean that you will be honoring some orders - or cancelling them all?

For those of you who have received a cancellation email don't worry a customer service representative will be in contact shortly to answer your questions.

Does this mean that you are not cancelling ALL orders? If so, how do you decide which are cancelled?

We're hoping to contact everyone who ordered by close of business today.

Everyone? Why? Does this mean that you are cancelling all orders?

Thanks again for shopping with G2U.com.au.

If you are cancelling all orders - why are you thanking us?

I do not mean to sound rude -I am just a bit confused.

  • cancelled, over 25 bucks order

  • +1

I spoke to a representative and she advised that they will credit my bank with $25.

    • +4

I spoke to a representative and she advised that they will credit my bank with $25.

      I find this really strange.

This new business could generate wonderful good will and keep lots of new customers, plus gain future customers via family and friends referrals, by just delivering the $25 worth of items contained in these orders. These items would cost them far less than $25, and many order were for over $25 of goods.

Why would they give away $25 in real money instead?

      • -1

        Read above:

Because it will cost them far less to credit the buyers, with the amount (a lot of people ordered <$25 worth of goods), than to waste more time and effort in actually purchasing / delivering the goods.

        • +2

xuqi, I don't think you are understanding what A3Australia is saying. He is completely correct. It would cost them more to refund real money then to deliver goods which should have a profit factor built in to the price.

  • same message as the above… wonder how many areas are affected???

Thanks for recently registering with G2U.com.au

When you placed your order you used the code S25 to receive a $25 discount. Unfortunately you were not within the eligible delivery area set out in the terms and conditions of the offer on our website.

However to show our thanks for registering and showing an interest in our new online grocery store we would like to give you $25!

We've already cancelled your order and credited your bank account the additional $25.

Plus you're now ahead of the pack! You'll be the first to know when we do open up your area.

    Thanks for shopping with us,

  • +1

i stand by my initial statement in different words "to good to be true"

  • i got the same message .. they not opened in my area and they want to give credit to my account….

is it a fraud company or money will come to my account ?

yes it is too good to be true

  • yeah, order cancelled but hopefully will get the $25 for the time I spent testing their website. Professional testers normally charge $80/hr

  • +1

    Got email

"When you placed your order you used the code S25 to receive a $25 discount. Unfortunately you were not within the eligible delivery area set out in the terms and conditions of the offer on our website."
Seems like the code doesn't include Sydney CBD?

    • i think theyre just trying to save face

      • Yeah I thought so too, let's see if the $25 credit is real or not… I actually doubt it

        • hasnt gone in yet for me

        • Wouldn't surprise me it they gave a $25 discount voucher on the condition you spend a minimum $150.

  • Bit of a post one comment and run rep.

  • My order was cancelled but I haven't received an email to tell me it was cancelled. Just checked the site and just says "this order has been cancelled"

    • check junk folder

      • Found it there, forgot to check

  • My order status is Cancelled. What's weird is they said my address is outside their delivery area, yet i can continue to place order on their website using the same address???
Below is the email message, let's wait and see if we will get the $25 extra credit, that'd be very nice!

"Thanks for recently registering with G2U.com.au

  • Code S25 works for order over $125

    • Code S25 works for order over $125

      Sweet!

My first order is still OK.

They told me that I can't use the NEWS30 code for my next order, even if it is for more than $150

I think I will try the S25 code for my order that will be over $125.

  • +1

    order cancelled, +ve vote revoked

  • +1

Dammm.. Oh well.. Dont get angry. You tested their site, and to say you deserve money for testing. lol. Dont you have a heart? or are you just arrogant?

  • +1

I just received a call from them and was told that I am not within the eligible delivery area of their service. However, my area will become available from next week. They asked if I want to proceed with my order (they can deliver next week) or choose to cancel my order to get a refund of what I have paid on top of the $25 PLUS a $25 extra credit. I'd really like to try their service so chose to keep my order and get it delivered next week. Good customer service.

    • same here. the lady/girl was very polite(and tired) and gave me the same excuse plus the $25 credit in my account to be contacted in the future when my area will be included to their delivery list.

  • I got a call to say that my suburb has now been added to their delivery area and that the order will be restored and processed. Sounds good.

  • +1

I don't think they counted on this being put on OzBargain

  • +1

Getting $25 put into my account
I live two suburbs over from Carlingford…

    • Did you give your bank account detail to them? Or they credited your credit card?

      • So,

I placed an order for just shy of $25.

I didn't put in my mobile number as the validation SMS never arrived - I only put in my landline that doesn't have a phone connected to it. Therefore I never received a phone call.

Just an email saying I'm outside of the delivery area and then another saying they will bank transfer me $25.

I gave them details for my empty ME Bank account that gave me free money earlier on OzBargain :)

        • Let us know if you see the $25 :)

        • +2

          Received

  • +1

I placed my order for $30 and used the coupon code within an hour from the time this deal was posted. I was charged $5 initially but this morning when I checked my account they charged another $25 in a separate transaction. I got a call from their customer service this evening. The lady on the phone said because of some glitch in their system I was charged $25 even if I used the coupon code and she said they will be refunding the $25 tomorrow. And they are still honoring the order. My order is to be delivered after 8:30 tonight.

I will definitely consider placing another order with them if the goods are of good quality. After all the prices are reasonable and they are offering free delivery for the first five orders.

  • +3

I have received an email that my payment was unsuccessful and will need to pay it again. It's in "pending" in my CMB banking so I'm not sure why.

Anyway guys arrived about 5 minutes ago, very nice people.

I paid again, received my 500g Tuna & Salmon steak.

The meat is fresh and very good quality.

I actually got 498g of Salmon and 746g of Tuna

Anyway I'm definitely gonna order from them in the future. Better than give the money to Wool & Coles big sh*t Corp.

    • -6

All the haters who didn't receive any money are negging my comment.

  • Still haven't received the money yet…..
and the money that I paid ($2.20) is still showing as pending.

  • +3

Just checked my bank account and I was really surprised to see that the company actually made a transfer of $25! They have been true to their word and for that they have won me over :)

    • Did you give them your bank account details or did they refund against a credit card?

    • +1

Wow, I got a $25 credit to my bank account yesterday too (I ordered under $25 so had to pay nothing, selected 'pay on delivery', then was advised by email that order was cancelled and they would give me $25 bank account credit if I gave my bank details, I was sceptical at first but gave them bank details anyway, now $25 was deposited into my account)

  • +3

Received my delivery last night. The delivery guy was very professional and delivered the goods to the door (Most delivery guys calls me from ground floor and asks me to come down to collect the goods). The goods were packed well and delivered on time.

  • +2

I got a $25 credit to my bank account, huge thumbs up in terms of customer service!!

    • yeah same here. however, my gf did not get a call from them until she rang up to change her delivery time and she was told they do not deliver to her area and would credit her card with $25.

    09/01/2014 INWARD DIRECT CREDIT $25.00

    Thank you.

    Btw, @ rep,
Your site is quite sluggish from mobile devices. Great that it works and I did manage to pick out a $25 cart but it wasn't a great experience.

  • my delivery never arrived. anyone else have this happen to them

  • I received my delivery, along with the free $25 item. The rep on the phone (Kate? Clara?)and the delivery guy were very nice, polite, and professional. Very happy. I will order again when I need special things, and if the delivery fee is ok. Trying to check the delivery fee on the website but it doesn't respond to my clicks. Either that website, or my TPG.

    • +1

. Very happy. I will order again when I need special things, and if the delivery fee is ok.

Your first FIVE orders receive Free Delivery.

So, you have FOUR free delivery orders left.

  • How often has the delivery tracker change for everyone?

The order has been stuck on 'order placed' since I ordered on 7/1.

It is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow evening.

Kind of surprising that they would not have yet picked the order for shipment tomorrow…

Anywho, good to hear that people have received their orders already.

Look forward to purchasing again from this place if all goes well.

  • All I got was an email:

Thanks for recently registering with G2U.com.au.
We've had a problem processing your order and will be giving you a call shortly to confirm your details.
    Thanks for shopping with us

    1. Never received a call (email came on Jan 8)
    2. Logged in, no Delivery tracking number
    3. Checked Past Orders.. had my items but it was meant to be shipped last week!

    Not sure what's going on!!

  • +4

I received my order today. All goods are of good quality. The delivery guy is friendly and their customer service is good. I will definitely order from these guys again.

  • +3

Holy crap… got $25 into my bank account like they said they did… and by the sounds of it people who actually got their things delivered, are very happy with their customer service, let alone the free products!
this company needs a special mention

    • -8

yeah special mention for posting a deal, then cancelling 50 percent or more of the customers orders and trying to (profanity) them off with a 25 dollar bonus….

then joining ozbargain saying "we ran an online campaign and didn't realise our code would be posted elsewhere"

the same shit every company does. the same lame excuse. IF YOU RUN AN ONLINE BUSINESS AND PROVIDE COUPONS ONLINE, FIGURE OUT WHAT THAT MEANS BEFORE YOU (profanity) DO IT.

so many dumb (profanity) idiots on the internet these days.

  • +2

I received a $25 cheque today from them. Amazing! They didn't have to honour it. I hope they survive!
