  • What triggered the email?

Can it be used on desktop? If so, will it include a receiver?

you have no idea how bluetooth works?

      • I assumed it needed a receiver. Consoles/laptops that have it built in obviously don't require it. Can you get it to work on a desktop if it's not built in? Hence why I asked if it came with an adapter, though the description said not needed, implying that it doesn't (because it was only intended to be used on laptops).

        Do enlighten me.

        • You can get a USB bluetooth dongle, but the mouse doesn't come with one.

  • Another Bluetooth mouse at a reasonable price:-

Logitech Wireless Mouse M557 Bluetooth.. Just bought one for $38 at Big W.

Don't know how it differs from this model.

    • The M557 is not laser like the M555.

  • JB offer no longer available!

    • and it was only 23% not 30%

      • exclusive offer 30% off.

  • I didn't know logitech still made mice with hyperscroll wheels. I've been holding on to my ailing MX revolution because I love the scroll wheel.

    • I'm so used to using the scroll wheel button to open links in new tabs, not a big fan of the hyperscroll switch being in its place. Took a while to get used to using the middle button below the scroll wheel.

      • I have that hyperscroll wheel on my M950. Clicking the wheel still acts as middle click. I do what you do.

The button below it toggles hyperscroll. You don't use that for any functions. It just unlocks the wheel and makes it not clicky.

Sounds like a better idea, but unfortunately on my M555B clicking the scroll wheel engages/disengages the hyperscrolling.

        • On the MX Revolution (and presumably others) there is a switch inside the wheel, and the wheel is much heavier. When you spin the wheel at a certain speed (customisable) the catch releases and it auto switches to free scroll. Because the wheel is much heavier it keeps spinning for ages (5+ seconds).
