Seafood Buffet at Four Points Sheraton Darling Harbour - $39.50 Per Adult (RRP $89) FB Req

550

If you missed the seafood buffet at Sheraton on the Park https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/129857, this is a similar deal by Four Points. Based on my experience last year, for $39.50 the buffet is well worth the money.

Go in quick to book for your session on Australia Day. The walk to Darling Harbour for the fireworks after dinner will help to digest the amount of seafood you've demolished.

For feedback on the buffet spread, please read the comments in previous deals
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/four+points

Nearest parking would be at Wilson Darling Harbour for $8 weekdays (after 5pm) and $10 weekend thru Book a Bay Online

  • cheaper than the last deal

    • cost or food ;)?

    • The last deal was ten bucks more and included a cocktail which you probably couldn't buy for ten bucks.

Sheraton on the Park is better

    • +2

      Much better

    • food? rooms? or beds?

      • +1

Food from Feast is better then Corn at Five Points

  • Thanks OP.

  • go melbourne go…
    come with a similar deal..
    we are waiting !!

  • Nice find !Thanks squashy .
Their website asks me to make reservation straight away , can I claim this offer and book later ?

    • Admittedly this promo duration is much longer compared to Sheraton on the Park but based on previous experience, weekend dinner slots will be ozbargained very quickly.

If you're willing to do some extra driving and would like to save a further $15pp, check out Star Buffet at Marconi club. $25.80pp all day every day, and includes a much larger variety than what Four Points has to offer (even includes a sushi train).

Been to both buffets and would recommend you guys to check out Star Buffet @ Marconi

    • Review on the both buffet wasn't too good. (urbanspoon)
I guess buffet food are the same.

It's absolutely awful. Cluttered. Too busy. Sushi line was over 20 minutes long. You are only allowed to be there 90 minutes. Roasts were not nice. The staff and people there acted like you got in for free, basically.

      • +1

If you can't eat your grill bone worth in 90 minutes there's a problem

      • +1

And there's no limit at Four Points? The terms state that the max seating duration is 120mins and that is if you get there at least 20mins prior given the long queues that form outside the entrance during such deals.

I then found myself waiting another 20mins in the long line that wrapped around the seafood table.

Last I went to Star Buffet I didn't have to wait for food, not even for the sushi (let alone the fact that Star Buffet offers sushi and Four Points doesn't). You also don't need to book well in advance and the staff on the floor were regularly clearing plates from our table last I went. Reviews could be biased and so is my one.

Take everything with a grain of salt (no pun intended)

  • Their web site has 2 prices for the same thing!. This deal shows $89 for adults, yet if you click on "Buffet" on their site it shows these prices??? Dinner prices :- $85 for adults and $42-50 for kids (3-12). Lunch is $65 and $32-50.

    • they probably increased the price but havent updated the website

  • Ok

  • What time is the firework at Darling Harbor on Australia day?

  • Wish Perth can get a deal like this..

Honestly, I've been there a few times and $40 is what it is worth, imho. The food is somewhat indifferent - plenty of seafood, but cooked in a pretty average way. On par with Bankstown RSL buffet in my opinion.

    • I totally disagree with you that Bankstown RSL buffet (Star Buffet Group)is on par with this offer. Star Buffet Group doesn't have oysters, crab or smoke salmon. Not to mention about the dining experience.

      • +1

I agree the dining experience is very important. I have tried the Merrylands RSl buffet. It felt like a zoo, children running between tables not to mention the average person dinning is 100Kg+ who seems to go there just to consume as much as possible regardless of food quality :)

        It's all about the experience.

        • and now that they've offered up this deal, the Four Points buffet will likely be the same. fat bogans everywhere.

        • You are a weightist. Who goes to an all you can eat buffet and complains about fat people?

  • Is this better than star city garden cafe? Head this place hotel has less food. The star actually has a lot if seafood but you need to pay slightly but more.

    • +1

i was only after a lunch buffet and it turns out i can go to star city for cheaper

      http://www.star.com.au/whats-on-sydney/Pages/Sydney-Festival…
To celebrate the principle partnership between The Star & the Sydney Festival, Garden Buffet will be offering lunch for only $28 per person. Monday to Friday, from 9 -26 January.

      • is their lunch any good?

        • i didnt end up going…..
friends opted to have all you can eat wagyu instead
          which was 70pp =\

  • +1

Four Points used to be good. I've been several times over the years. Last time I went was last year and never again. Previous years it was always busy on the weekend but no longer the case. Food selection is greatly reduced, standards have dropped. No wonder the place is empty. The only way they can get people in is with the half price deals and even then I think it's not worth it. Pay more and go to the Sheraton on the Park - infinitely better!

  • +2

    nah not that good.
felt like youre in a food court in a long line up for a few oysters.

$40, go local seafood get some oysters for $14, etc etc - save yourself some money, but you aint getting any services here.

it USED to be good WHILST they were renovating 7 years ago lol, they had a nice fine dining experience in their event room, but this is not.

  • +2

It's okay, but it's not worth a cent more than 40, and probably a bit less. Not to mention that you will pay for parking if you drive (last time I went with work parking was 50-80 bucks depending on where you parked during business hours) Much nicer places to go and eat. If you are on the Gold Coast go to Bazaar at QT. Cost more but world's apart from this place

  • +2

Intercontinental in Sydney has a lunch time special on at the moment at Cafe Opera (seafood buffet) with a glass of wine for $40. Bookings essential, quote "LET'S DO LUNCH". Aavailable Mon - Fri 12-3. Definitely one of the better seafood buffets in Sydney.

  • There are no oysters left I ate the last one.
