Is that really that companies logo?!?
It is almost identical to Apples Time Machine's logo, even the time is the same..

      Goodness….at least make it 6 o'clock or something…

Then again 5pm is knock off time.

  • seems good

  • What are the PRO features? Can't find.

    • Basically, it's ad free

Does this backup App & App data or just the app itself?

  • How does one get the PRO version?

Need to enter a code or just install?

How is this vs Titanium Backup and My Backup Pro? (the two big ones…)

The developer got some bad rep secretly including malware in the earlier versions. When discussed, he said to remove the adware, but I would be careful to install any app with root privileges like this one. It seem to be more user friendly but I would stick to Titanium Backup. Details on http://www.xda-developers.com/android/easily-backup-your-app…

  • Pretty good but I prefer Helium for its ability to backup app data without root.

why do people care for recovering sms etc again anyway? i don't see the need for such a service… scratches head

    • I get sexy texts from your missus

      • haha farenough, those I would want to keep too :P

Excuse the silly question, but if I install and unlock this app, and create a backup prior to wiping my Android phone, will I be able to use the app to recover it? Will it remember (after wiping) that I had an unlocked version? Or will I need to purchase it?
Or will that only work if I restore app data? (which requires root)

    • Yeah great question! It's something that I would forget about and that when the situation comes I'm screwed. Perhaps we would also back up this app with Es File explorer so you know you have the Pro version backed up elsewhere. I think this would work, wouldn't it?

    • It would not remember that you had it unlocked as that is stored in app data.

Afaik only Helium can backup and restore app data without root.

So u could still recover your backup with the free 'ad version'. As long as this is possible then that's something I could live with. If not, it seems then that using this is somewhat convoluted.
