  • These fares seem fairly average, no where near previous deals.

  • It's average to AIRASIA, but when comparing other airlines, this is the cheapest you can get!

  • FYI NFI what KUL is

    • +1

      KUL = Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

  • I guess they make their money through inflight meals/drinks/entertainment? Anyone know?

    • Not really, they just use new, fuel efficient planes, and cram as many seats in a possible. They add an extra person to each row, cut legroom down my an inch or so, and manage to fit as many people into an A330, as some companies fit into their 747s, and even Korean Airs A380

As a 6'2 guy who has enough trouble sitting on the bus I can't imagine how painful that would be…

  • Cool, so meals and drinks are free then?

    • +1

      yeah, for breatharians

    • No, they still charge for all that, but things like meals are cheap when compared to scoot and Jetstar. $5 for a pre-booked meal, compared to i think $17 for Jetstar and more than $20 for scoot.

  • How long does it take to get from Perth to KL?

    • 5 hours 30 minutes

edit: according to Skyscanner, you can fly one way direct PER > KUL tomorrow, 21st January 2014 for $167 and direct PER > DPS for $159. Wow.

Obviously have some empty planes going that way that need to be filled. Wish I could just up and go.

How is this post any different to this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/129432?

Apart from Adel being $9 cheaper (which I obviously missed in my post), everything else is more expensive.

So then it is different, and sale started today according to air Asia. Your neg is invalid.

Let the mods decide. It's been reported.

Unless you have been time travelling this is not a dupe. READ OP, sale starts 20 January 2014 - 2 February 2014, and today is guess what?

          BANG!

          Well said

Relax mate. You'll blow a gasket. I've removed the neg.

          Different Sale link

          Prices from the link:

          Chengdu: $319
          Osaka: $279

          This deal:

          Booking Period : 20 January 2014 - 2 February 2014
          Travel Period : 5 May 2014 - 30 September 2014

          Prices from the link:

          Chengdu $329
          Osaka $259

So if I wanted a flight in April or later, I'd have to use this deal. For earlier, either this deal or yours. Based on this evidence, I'd say they are different deals however quite similar in prices.

        • Thanks for clarifying neil.

        • Thanks

Public apology to usama91 for jumping the gun and down-voting his post. Should have done my homework a bit more thoroughly before negging. I wish I could up-vote, but rules prevent me from doing so. Best regards - TA.
