Seems like a pretty good deal.

The main reason I prefer to shop at Coles online is because you can buy bakery items from there.

Woolworths force you to buy the mass produced homebrand/wonder white etc bread if you buy online.

  • I prefer woolies online as they charge at point of order, not day of delivery. Wednesday delivery means new catalogue and possibly different prices/specials on your order…

I never though of that.. must be why they doing it.. so u get last weeks specials next week

wow, so you are saying its so much better we all pay $1.05 per apple instead of the people weighing them properly and chargng us correctly for the proportionate weight. Then we have to call them up for a credit or refund because thats what they should have done anyway.
I've tried Coles deliveries, the rep said they charge only when they pick the items so we won't have to overpay everytime like WW

      • Well the reverse to what you've mentioned is like many of us who have received more meat than ordered as they have to give you at least what you ordered.

Plus as I said, if they change prices on your order on the Wednesday as it's a new catalogue, I bet you end up spending more

    • are you sure the price isn't fixed (but not paid for) at the time of order?

      • from http://shop.coles.com.au/online/national/info/payment-and-pr…

        Price estimate

An estimated total is displayed because your final order total may differ from the estimated total. Items in your order are charged at the price applicable at the time you submitted your order and as shown on the order confirmation, except in the following cases:

        • When an item is out of stock you won’t be charged for that item.

        • If we substitute any item you'll be charged the lower of the original or the substitute price.

        • We estimate a price for weighed items like grapes, bananas and cheese from the deli. When we pack your order, we weigh the items and charge the exact price.

        • If you have ordered a meat item that is priced per kilo, the purchase price charged will be the lower of the purchase price per kilo at the time you submitted your order and the purchase price per kilo at the time your order is processed.

so to me it appears that the price is fixed at the time of order except for minor variations. for meat you get an even better deal (the lowest price at either date).

  • G2U offers free shipping on your first five orders without minimum spend

    • re: G2U - Well, that was a tease… Really enjoying the site, saw a particular need, and then found out the it's NSW only! *8v/
Appreciate the heads up tho! *8vD
