The Age 1 months All digital + 7 days delivery for $1!!! for the first month but you can cancel it at any time free of charge!
I have called them and confirmed this if you cancel it before the second month then you will only spend $1 for a whole month!
Seems to be a great deal to me!
How different is it from just going to theage.com.au?
yeah, remember we can get unlimited (not unlimited *) theage.com.au articles as long as you clear cookies from your internet browser after you have used up your free 30 articles.
Or it's even easier to go into "private" mode on your browser to save you having to clear the cookies :)

I subscribe not because I cannot do the tricks above.

As much as a TightAss I am, I couldnt agree more with the. Fairfax online is far superior to that noNews garbage
I hope for Fairfax's sake that they come up with a better way to enforce the paywall than browser cookies.

Beware of the difference between "all digital" and "digital edition" if you want to take digital without delivery after the first month. The "all digital" package does not include the "newspaper replica". Fairfax appears to have their own definition of the expression "all digital". Just a word of warning based on my previous experience with fairfax and a similar deal for the SMH.
Never received a paper during a 4 week free trial.
Subsequently cancelled subscription over the phone before end of the trial month.
Continued getting billed full price for another 3 months despite 5 or 6 calls or emails to fairfax customer service attempting to resolve the issue.
It was a very frustrating experience!
Pay with Paypal. You can disable recurring payments and they aren't able to extract money from you despite their best attempts. That's how I usually handle subscription payments.
Need to make some paper mache soon so 7 day delivery for now! But seriously, I wanted to get the digital edition for a while so a good trial offer.
