Never had this stuff before. Is it like drinking soggy weet bix?

    • it's just like drinking a milkshake

    • +2

      Pretty much.

A proper breakfast is better, but if it's something for on the go this is a good alternative. Although, the "Energize" one is better since there is more protein.

      • +1

Energize was 2.23 for a 3 pack from Coles last week.

    • put 50g oat bran, 30g wheat bran in your bowl, add a cup of water, nuke in microwave for 2 minutes, add some milk, sweeten if desired, mmmm

there is 26g of sugar per serving in up&go

  • Can anyone comment on the taste of caramel? If you like it, what flavour of up and go do you usually drink?

    • +1

I didn't really like caramel but chocolate and banana are my favourite.

    • Same. I usually like caramel, but the Up&Go flavour didn't do it for me.

    • +6

It is actually owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

        Same stuff. Ideology doesn't change.

        • +4

That's a pretty wide tar brush you've got there Cap.

        • +2

          That's irrelevant.

    • I decided to boycott this product after I bought one that was completely congealed into what was revealed to have the appearance of a block of rubber. Trust me, I'm scarred for life.

  • Are they bad?

    • +3

      No, four legs good.

  • $2 In store as well?

  • +4

FYI - all flavours are $2, not just caramel.

just be careful about products not on special - they are typically ~8% more expensive than in shop

Great breaky, time to stock up again. Goes well with these, which are over %50 off this week.

    • Oooooh - thanks! I love those bars! :D

  • August expiry for my local stock. Just picked up 9 (8x3) bricks. That should last me 30 weeks (ending in August) at a consumption rate of 1 per day.

    • I have enough stock at the moment to get me through to June after buying up big the last time they were at this price.

      • But think of all the lost interest you would have gathered in the bank. Assuming you have half your stock remaining when this deal came out, means you bought $72 too much. If said $72 were to be put in the bank at an interest rate of 3%p.a. over the last 3 months, you actually paid about 55cents more. If you factor in lost investment opportunity, that would turn out even more costly.

        Trolling.

        • given that most transaction accounts have 0.1% in interest at the moment it probably costs money to hold it in the bank.

plus the stock was bought with targeted offer bonuses so it was much less than $2 per 3 pack.

        • Then you, sir, have done "professionally".

  • Cheaper than Aldi! Bought 10x 12 packs last week. Grrr

    • I only buy Aldi's house brands when shopping there. For the well known brands I wait for big discounts at Coles/Woolies.

  • These babies used to keep me full for hours when I used to have one daily. Could never stomach food in the morning, so this was my quick breakfast slurped up on the way to work. Not an ideal meal replacement, but great if you can't handle food in the morning too :)

  • Bought 10 pack last night but i couldnt see the new flavour.

The next 1 month breakie sorted.

    Thanks ops.
