      thanks… I stand corrected…

      • +14

No worries, I know you appreciate the finer print in life

    • Also, TITLE should be changed, it's only for the participating gift cards, not all…

      • +17

And not two minutes earlier I thought you were becoming a changed man…. :(

        • +8

But without jv we would be an unruly mob of lunatics who never read the fine print. Someones gotta keep us in line

      • +5

Uh I agree with JV, the title is very misleading as it's NOT ALL giftcards included :)

        • +7

I was looking forward to recursive savings buy buying a wish gift card :(

        • +1

Me too, then I read it didn't include those giftcards :(

        • Any chance to buy a wish card with myer gc at Myer or does it even sell one?

        • They don't sell woolworths gift cards.

        • Yes you can buy the Myer card

      • +3

You might also like to question why is Woolworths spending $50 on gift cards, and what if my next shop is Coles?

    • +2

If I already have a $50 wish card, can I use that to buy the myer card?

      • Yes.

  • +1

Damn, I was hoping it was for iTunes as well.

    • You could buy the itunes card at Myers with the Myer Gift Card.

But you still pay $50 and just get $10 off your next woolies shop.

      So 20% "saving" in theory.

      • +5

mathematically, that is not a 20% saving. You spending $50 instead of $60 for $60 worth of giftcard + shopping credit. Therefore, $10 out of $60 is 16.66% saving.

  • I don't quite get this part of the T&C - "Must be redeemed by the 11th of February". Don't you have to present your ER card at time of purchase anyway? And it does say "Offer valid from 5 February to 11 February 2014". Or are they saying that you must utilise the $10 credit by 11th Feb?

    • +1

      the latter.

    • Looks like if you spend $50 on 11/2 you have to enter the store again to spend your $10. Ridiculous!

  • Save $10 on your next shop. Please explain?

    • they give you $10 credit which must be used by 11-Feb

  • +1

Do Myer sell coles myer gift cards? Also can you use the $10 off your next shop to buy a $50 woolies gift card for $40?

    • +1

but you can't buy a $50 woolies gift card to get the $10 off…

      • +4

But you can use a $50 woolies gift card with another everyday rewards card to purchase a participating gift card, and get another $10 off voucher.

        1. Purchase $50 Myer Gift card get $10 off next shop
        2. Use the $10 off your next shop to buy a $50 woolies gift card for $40
        3. Purchase $50 Myer Gift card with the $50 woolies gift card from step 2 use another everyday rewards card and get $10 off next shop
        4. Keep doing this
        • +6
          1. Keep doing this

And you will be left with lots and lots of Myer Gift Cards…

You can use it to get effectively 20% off an iPad…

        • I was hoping to purchase a coles myer GC with the myer GC and then use it for fuel

        • +4

Also in the fine print it says that its limited to one redemption per edr card :(

        • +5

There are plenty of EDR brochures in store and each one has a different temporary card printed on the back. Go nuts :)

        • +1

          lmao. that is great!

        • I don't see the point of this. If you have 2 ER cards/accounts, then just buy $50 Myer gift card in 2 transactions, using different ER card each time. The end result is the same, you still get a total of Woolworth $20 credit with 2 x $50 Myer gift cards in your pocket.

        • +1

I think the only difference with the above method is you've used the $10 Woolworth credit by purchasing the Woolworth GC. So you only have to use the other $10 credit before 11/02

        • Yup agree there.

        • Then get refunds on your Myer cards.

    • +2

myer don't allow buying GC with GC..

      • They also don't accept $10 Everyday rewards credit vouchers…

      • I was under the impression that a GC is as good as cash. So you should be able to purchase anything in store. Surely you can purchase an iTunes GC with a Myer GC.

        • So you should be able to purchase anything in store.

The $10 credit is linked to your Everyday Rewards card, it is not a gift card. Myer do no accept Everyday Rewards cards as far as I know…

        • Sorry I got you on the wrong track. I was referring to buying a GC with a Myer GC in a Myer store.

      • called myer and confirm you cant

        • Makes sense that you can't. Otherwise no point having a Target gift card if it can be used to purchase the Coles Myer gift card (can be used across Coles, Myer, Coles Express, Officeworks, Target, etc.).

        • +1

I've used a Target gift card to buy a Coles Myer gift card. It just depends on which staff member you get and whether you buy anything else.

        • I thought you could only not buy a Myer gift card with a Myer gift card.
This is due to people trying to 'swap" gift cards over to extend their expiry date.

      • Can I exchange my Gift Card?http://www.giftcards.com.au/Gift-Card-Terms-of-Use.aspx
You cannot exchange your Gift Card for a different brand, denomination or type of Gift Card or for another tender, cash or discount. This includes Myer Returns Card.

    • The probably do, but last I checked, Woolworths Limited stores don't accept Coles Group and Myer gift cards.

    • Can not happen without the 'Δtype' falling outside GC Terms- inc standard lock-in.

OTOH I suspect some may make<$5 A Pop on-selling via card exchange sites GC acquired above at $40recouped at $45. Probably with some mucking around.

  • Do giftcards cost a bit more?
I recall buying a giftcard from coles and they charged loke 4-6 $ for activation..

    • +3

That must be a prepaid credit card.

      • you're right.. thanks :D

  • -3

It sounds like a con to me than a deal.

    As per comments.

    1. I can get $10 back but needs to be redeemed by 11 feb.
    2. It's a credit offer, not a cash back. So eventually money goes back to them.

      1. It's a credit offer, not a cash back. So eventually money goes back to them.

Are you referring to the $10 credit they gave you to spend in their store for free? You're right… the bar$tards!

      • +7

        the bar$tards!

yeah… 20% rebate… They take us for fools !!! We want to pay full price !!!

  • this is in the "too hard" basket for me.
i'd prefer to go with the RACV 5% discount off woolworth's gift cards.

    • +1

i'd prefer to go with the RACV 5% discount off woolworth's gift cards.

Can you use that gift card to buy a Myer card ?

That way you get a $50 Myer Card for $47.50 and then get $10 credit…

      That's $12.50 savings for a $47.50 spend…

      • +1

yes, that would be the best way to get more savings from this deal.

wish gift card or ing 5% cashback.

  • +4

Well you can get the goodfood and myfun $50 gift card for only $35 at scoopon.

  • comparing with Coles'offer, this offer is like a rubbish! How stupid woolworhts is! This shop deserves a bankruptcy.

  • +1

Make sure you buy the first gift card with ING for an extra 5% off.

  • +2

The Everyday Rewards Program does not operate:
◦in supermarkets or Woolworths Liquor or BWS stores in Tasmania.

    Bloody gimps.

    • +1

Enough to make one a Tasmanic depressive ;)

      • +1

The EDR being excluded from Woolworths In Tasmania is something to do with some agreement when the Roelf Vos stores merged with Purity/Woolworths years ago, I believe. I rang woolworths yesterday, and my complaint was 'noted'. I am ringing Frequent shopper club today (our crap alternative, with NO offers like this).

Quite significant savings on EDR at times, and we always miss out. NOT HAPPY woolworths.

  • +1

Anyone has had any issues using the $10 credit yet? I tried in my second purchase but it did not apply the credit, even though the original receipt had confirmed the $10 credit. Is there a waiting period before one can use?

    • What do you mean the original receipt confirmed the $10 credit? T&C says the $10 voucher will not appear on the receipt.

      • Got one today. The receipt says 'congrats you have $10 off your next spend before 11/2' on the bottom. I think what the t&cs mean is that the $10 off isnt a coupon like the fuel vouchers or liquor deals that you can rip off the docket and use.

        • Also the store assistant says wait a few days for the credit to activate.

        • +4

You only have a few days to use it.

    • +3

same here! looks like a failed deal, lol. now i have to try get my $10 by complaint

      • It should activate in a few hours time… I think it worked after 4-5 hrs for me.

        • I waited for 2 days and i still have the same problem. The manager and i just stood there for 10 mins and all he can said was may be I should spend more to activate the offer. I told him I have spent more than enough.

        • Get a refund and try again

  • +1

I bought $50 Myer giftcards with 4 Everyday Rewards cards today. The $10 credits came up on the cards straightaway. I did my shopping and put through $10 worth of groceries for each card. After scanning your card, you need to go all the way to 'Pay Now' for the credit to show.

  • +2

Bought 4 Myer gift cards from 4 everyday accounts… got the 10$ credit applied twice on 3 accounts… anybody else with a similar experience?

    • +1

How did you know that the credit got applied twice? Did you use it the 2nd time after redeeming?

      • +1

        yes

        • +1

is there any way to check if applied twice online?

  • yes

  • 24hrs after giftcard purchase and the credit is still not there.. hmm

    • +1

Bought one today & can't use with next purchased too.
      Anyone know where to complaint?

      • Same here. What a waste of time to follow their instructions but can't easily claim. Now I have to remember to complain to them to get my $10 credit.
