        • because the coupon does not list the price … only that saving! so that means JV did look even look at the coupons before posting.

i am looking for tyres bridgestone.

    • What size?

      • 21560R16 :)
kmart has Bridgestone EP100 and T001.
        thanks

        • I shall report on the weekend.

However, just to give you an indication, I was looking for 215/65 R16. EP850 was around $170.

        • +1

EP100 in 21560R16 was $130 back in December. Those were the only ones I could see of that size then.

        • They have a board in store showing how much you can save buying tyres from Costco, a single tyre comparison.
But my quote on a single tyre from them was 10% more than other retailers (18" Bridgestone RE001)

          Good luck.

        • +1

          $130

        • 215 55 17 was about $695 (set of four after $70 off)

        • Thanks ms. Is that price ( $130 )for 21560R16. So 4 tyres are $520-$70 = $450 ? (For ep100?). Thanks

        • HotCold = that is the price for 215 60 R16. Now there is one more thing I found out that is if your car uses 95H or 98V. Please confirm. BTW, the price is for 95H.

        • Thanks ms. Yeah that Will be 95H :)
Now to decide t001 And ep100.

    • So when you buy tyres from Costco, do you take them elsewhere to get fitted, or do they do it there?

      • They do fitting and balancing.

        • Nitrogen filling and disposing old tyres too.

      • Got a set of tyres in Costco Docklands few months back.

They do fitting, balancing, and disposing old tyres. But no wheel alignment available. They said they don't have the equipment onsite to do it.

Just sharing, because in some other places they offered free wheel alignment if u buy a set of 4, so there's no way to do that in Costco.

  • listerine is cheap, $23 for 3 x 1L

    • +2

that should last a few years…

  • I know the toilet paper and baby wipes are a bargain.

Toilet paper is the long roll which equates to approx 50 cents a roll as opposed to normal roll when it is on sale for 50 crnts per roll.

The kirkland baby wipes are by far the best! So bargain when its an extra $4 off

    • I know the toilet paper and baby wipes are a bargain

Toilet paper is nearly always 50c per roll or cheaper at Coles and Woolies.

(This week, it's cheaper at Woolies)

      • Three ply quilted bog rolls are 37.45c each at Aldi every day of the week - $8.99 for the 24 pack. 190 sheets per roll so a tad under 20c per 100 sheets. They are also available in an 8 pack I believe but you of course pay more per roll/sheet.

They have even cheaper 2 ply rolls but they can be a bit rough, the 3 ply ones are pretty good.

      • They are usually 50cents when they are on sale at coles or woolies for the normal rolls (28 cents per 100 sheets)

These long rolls are cheaper (20 cents per 100 sheets)

  • Replied in the wrong spot.

  • Kind of wonder about these prices. Pitango soup reduced from $9.99 to $7.99 but it sells for $7.76 normally at Coles.

Edit: Sorry its the Pitango Chicken Risotto thats listed and thats $8.68, but not $10

    • Coles only sell the 500g size for ~$8. Costco sell the 1kg size for $8

    • Oh ok youre right. I guess that is a good deal then

    • ..

      • unless you don't like Chicken Risotto, then it's twice as bad !

      • ..

        • haha and the .. was I duped my post, comp issues again :/

  • +1

title is incorrect - that price is for two packs of 56 finish tablets

    still a crappy price though…. $13.99 @ coles for 56 -> http://shop.coles.com.au/online/national/finish-all-in-one--…

    • How much do coles charge for delivery?

      • +1

don't know - free for me as I have a source card (spend over $100)

        same price instore anyways

  • Sensodyne is cheap too, coles sells them for $11 each, you get 3 for $20 at costco.
Dentastix is also extremely cheap compared to outside. $30 for 70pc. Coles = $17 for 28pc (its the medium size that they have).

I remember calculating the price of when coles was on sale vs Costco original price and costco was still cheaper. Now it is even cheaper with their in-store discounts.

  • Could any1 please report on TV prices?
    Thank you

I'm going to neg this. Why?
Any distributor (which Costco is trying to be) is far cheaper.
weather it be Hudson Pacific to any other food distributor. You also don't need a $60 membership just an ABN. Ditch the costco membership and sign up for an ABN.

consumers are paying triple the going price at costco compared to a standard "wholesale" price.

    • +4

So you're suggesting people just "sign up" for an ABN simply to get wholesale prices from distributors??
You do realise that an ABN is actually a legal documented number with an Australian Government department don't you?? But maybe you're friends with Paul Hogan, he doesn't believe in the ATO either….(that's the Australian Tax Office in case you don't know….)
Oh & FYI, if you can find me a "wholesale" "distributor" in Australia who supplies USA foods, please, post them here so we can buy things in bulk that ONLY Costco sells!!!

    • +1

Oh and @neofelis, just to prove a point, I went and looked at the distributor you mentioned, Hudson Pacific, & their "Monthly Specials"??? $5.20 for a 1kg box of WeetBix as an example? $46.95 for a 1kg of Nescafe Blend 43 Coffee?? (not that I call that coffee, but a lot of people would buy that for their office….) Hell, Woolworths has the 500g tin for $17!!!
I highly doubt people are paying triple the going rate at Costco, who btw AREN'T trying to be a wholesale distributor, but a "Buy in bulk & save" retailer!!

  • @neofelis - yes, because the accounting, compliance and registration costs of running a business are SO much cheaper than $60 a year. Nice one.

  • -2

@Amyc you're looking at the standard pricing for the retail store. They don't list prices online for wholesale as if you have an account it's much much cheaper once again. Costco does the same thing, only difference is consumers don't know the REAL wholesale price for things as most can't get into a real distributor.

As for costco they're slugging you $60 a year and making triple the price on products when wholesale doesn't work that way. It's price gouging what they're doing. It's been proven several times.

I see real cost prices and I laugh at the costco shoppers. Even the alcohol is expensive as liquorland warehouse beats costco prices if you ask for a price beat. It's far from any bargain.

You see many restraunts, hotels and other hospitality chains buying from distributors, not costco!

    • I suppose you believe Campbells Cash & Carry are in the same class as the Hudson Pacific place then? Because I can tell you that I have personal experience that an ABN does SBA (Shit Bugger All) to give you cheaper prices there either!!
And a a place like Hudson Pacific can't actually advertise their "Monthly Specials" online for a retail store at retail prices if they're a wholesale distributor….that's called false advertising….they're either one or the other!!!
Of course restaurants, hotels & the like buy from distributors, their budgets are in the 10s & 100s of thousands of dollars!!
Do you have a coolroom fridge & freezer at home to be able to buy things by the pallet load? Cause gosh darn it, this house I have just don't have one!!!

    • I have seen people buying trolley loads of baby milk formula from Costco.

Pretty sure they can't use all of it. Must be either selling it or sending it overseas.

  • -2

I own just a deep freezer. I'm smart with what I buy in bulk.

things like nescafe 1kg tin - $8.64. I wouldn't be buying the case (6 tins of this shit) I'd buy one if I wanted it.

somethings can't be split so I wouldn't be buying a 1kg bag of cinnamon etc. I'd buy a small hoyts one from woolworths $1.20

The $10 saved on the coffee would give me free cinnamon. Rinse and repeat.

They're very very cheap and reflect true wholesale pricing.

watch a current affair tomorrow night. They're doing another report on costco price gouging.

let's take the kitchenaids for instance, costco was selling these for $399. Then they realized they can get $699 for them. They're still buying for $250 but happily making $450 per sale. They're doing this with every product which will end in .99
