Brent's Bits - 5% off All Phone/Tablet Screen Protectors in My eBay Store

25

Hi folks, been a while since I did anything on OzBargain so here's a deal on my Screen Protectors. 5% off all of them until 9am on the 20th.

There are singles available but there are bulk amounts available for each one up to 100 units each. If you want more than that let me know and I'll give you a price.

Currently I have screen protectors available for the following models of phones and tablets:

iPhone 4/4S
iPhone 5/5C/5S
iPad 2/3/4
iPad 5/Air
iPad Mini
Samsung Galaxy S2
Samsung Galaxy S3
Samsung Galaxy S4
LG Google Nexus 5 (e980)
Auus Google Nexus 7
HTC One (M7)

I don't have any others available at the moment but if there is enough demand for other models, I'd consider stocking them for future deals.

All orders are shipped in a stiff cardboard envelope to avoid damage. All other information is in the individual listings.

If you have any questions, just post here and I'll be happy to help.

Cheers,

Brent

EDIT: Starts at 9am

Sorry, no, all the protectors I stock are listed.

      • thanks for letting me know. and here's a hug for all the comments that follow.

I thought this was ozbargain… not OZslightlydiscounted

seems more like advertising to me

    • Consider the actual pricing, most of them are the cheapest already, this is a further discount on that and still not a bargain? Could you be any more entitled?

  • +1

5-10c off a screen protector is not a deal IMO.

    • Consider the total price, given that most are already cheaper than the competition, plus eBay, postage and paypal fees. How much cheaper do you actually expext them to get?

  • Cant downvote but I'm doing it in spirit. This is a joke of a 'bargain'.

  • See if you can get the 3m Lightning MFi cable for less than $19.95 that COTD is selling them for.

  • Worst eBay seller ever.

  • I agree with luztra. I had the wrong item sent to me. No responses to multiple emails. I'm staying away!

    • That's untrue if course

  • Makes for a funny ozbargain comment experience. Scared to tick the box down the bottom that says "I am associated with brents bits"…

    • This doesn't make any sense at all, why would you be ticking it in any case?

  • Merchants should note that small reductions, excessive conditions, and other costs related to the deal will NOT be well received. Users will likely vote negative for your deals and moderators may BAN or restrict deals, reps, or sites that are not well received.

As instructed in above rule, neg for small and irrelevant discount.

    • Consider the discount in relation to the overall price.

Not that I should have to bit here's a cost breakdown for you:

      Postage: 60c
      Cardboard mailer: 8c
      EBay fees: 9c
      Paypal fees: 10c

      Total cost: $0.87

With the 5% discount that brings it up to $0.92.

Exactly how much do you think I'm making in these and how much more of a discount do you want?

  • Well, I'll be damned, most prices are cheaper than other sellers already and Then giving an 5% off.

And here I was wondering why I hadn't run another OzBargain deal in a while.

So any of you realise exactly how small the margins are when selling on ebay?

Oh well, you try and do something nice and this is what you get. Consider the deal cancelled. Not that any of you care of course.

    • No we don't…

And if your demeanor on here is anything to go by I'm glad I've never purchased from your eBay store

      • -1

That can go both ways as well, if you're expectations are unreasonable, if rather you didn't buy from me as well

    • Maybe if you had provided examples and competitor comparisons in your listing as required in the site rules people could judge more accurately. Until then you'll have to pocket the mammoth 5 cent discount you're offering.

      • In other news … I just worked out what your nick name is all about.
Always thought it was a strange one.
        Shucks I am slow.

      • That's something I've never once needed to do. Usually users here post the comparison very quickly.

I've noticed less and less local sellers posting their own deals on here in the last six months and is probably due to receiving a reception like this.

Just think of your own attitudes though, someone gives a discount and you have done the internet version of spring in their face and demanding more.

Brent. On one hand I feel for you. You have been a decent guy offering good deals that have been well received on ozbargain (his history shows this to be so)
On the other hand I am surprised that you seem suprised that this post was not well received. .. 5% is not generally considered a bargain here… at least when it is marketed as that (I am not saying I agree.. just stating the sentiments of the community)

Even if we just look at your deal history, you have done well with specific deals…

    • And if I had promoted this one as being for a particular price, it may well have been well received. I chose to offer an additional 5% off my prices that were already the cheapest for most of the products listed and am harangued for it.

Which goes to show that it's all in the marketing, this is actually an even better deal than if I had just told the pricing for each but it was immediately assumed to be a worse deal.

I do appreciate your supportive words though.
