Been looking at prices all week as I need three of these, I had settled on WD greens at $195ea, but then spotted that the reds are on sale, $219 - cheapest elsewhere seems to be around $235 ea.

    3TB also down from $179 to $163

  • Might want to add shipping costs in the title, $14 to Melbourne 3000

Knock it off the discount… still a saving, wouldn't you need to pay shipping within VIC if you bout from elsewhere anyway?
Anyhow, I'm picking mine up on Saturday, so no shipping for me.

  • Warranty may be a problem with these. WD I think, require postage to asia at your expense for rma unless you can go through the place of purchase.

Don't see what difference that makes - when it's true wherever you buy them from, isn't the point $25 discount per drive? -

I didn't know that, so I find it to be a point worthy of discussion - that's the point of the comment section, after all. Not to mention warranty is a fairly important topic with such products prone to random failure. It's not a criticism of your deal, so don't take it personally.

    • On the Warranty tab it says:

Return to Base: You can get warranty where you bought, so don't lose your Invoice.

So you just return them to IT Estate?

      • +1

Yes returning to IT Estate is all you need to do.

Also make sure you create an account with IT Estate and remember it, their system lets you log in and look at historical invoices which comes in handy for tax returns and warranty if you lose the original hard copy.

  • Is it still on sale? All I see on the link is $244 for those drives.
