Beer like this in a clear bottle won't keep very long. Keep it out of sunlight and check the best before date
Depends though…Some clear bottles are made differently when beer is concerned. Sounds odd…I was surprised when I read about it too.
Fans of Corona - can you tell me what you like about it? I'm not knocking it, I'm just a fan of different beer
Its light in taste not overly bitter it's nice to change back and forth the two time to time.
It's probably the least 'beer flavoured' beer there is. Easy to throw back by the half-dozen and great on a hot Sunday.
It makes no sense to me.
I hate beer, Corona is like a watered down beer so I hate it less…
But instead of trying to look cool drinking something I don't like, I just drink Cider and actually enjoy it…
A lot of you Corona drinkers should try it.
Not a huge fan of Corona however it can be done.
Firstly it really only suits hot days as you can drink it like water and not get that bloated feeling. Secondly it needs to be very well chilled so it has that crisp taste and with a slice of lemon but preferably lime twisted in the neck.
People dislike it because it doesnt taste like a normal beer (yeasty taste) but thats not its purpose. Its like going for a run and having the choice of room temperature water or a well chilled bottle of water. Same thing but the chilled water tastes so crisp and refreshing. Corona is like the alcoholic water for summer.
My sister in law is Mexican. She told me once that Corona is a watery beer which used to be very cheap in Mexico and was the favourite of construction workers for its price. Then SAB Miller bought the brand and is selling them as if it were the best beer you can find in the market. She is surprised to see how that beer can be more expensive than fine beers.
It's a last resort beer to me, tbh. Marketing has a lot to answer for..They can make shit seem like it's gold..lol
Everyone always has this story. It was a trendy beer before SAB Miller bought it basically for the taste reasons above and because it was imported and relatively cheap back then. It went through a popular phase and then SAB Miller bought it and are now actively marketing it (now for some years).
It was the same with Sol beer, which became the new cheap favourite for those that like the mexican beer taste. Now in the States it is Tecate beer, which is dirt cheap and I drunk a lot of while i was over there but now it appears in trendy restaurants and the like.
It is really all about how unknown is it, and is it terrible. A lot of blokes don't like mexican style beers, but for people that just want to "quaff" a beer, they are perfectly acceptable.
This and Sol are my favourite beers!
