yeah was just checking that out.

Adds $5.78 to bundle 1 and $6.70 to bundle 2.

      • Ha, I was just about to edit-in the cost :)

  • How many HDD can be installed?

  • Depending on your usage scenario, 120gb could be overkill. For example, i've ordered a 60gb ssd for about $60 because i will just be running OpenElec. If you really want, you can even run it off a decent USB flash drive.

  • What's the power draw of one of these?
I've been holding out for a HTPC/Media Server that draws less than 10W including at least a 1Tb HDD.
Might be pie in the sky still, but can't be too far away.

Doesn't look like it will quite hit 10 watts, few reviews say it idles at 12-13.

      • So still pie in the sky then.. That 12W idle figure is with a SSD not a HDD.
There's been a few ARM powered devices that are getting close to the 10W (under load) figure, but not very many have SATA and I'd prefer to stay with x86 with its better or at least more familiar software support.
A Bay Trail miniPC is really what I'm after.

That's an older model. Wrong review.

This is what you're after: http://www.legitreviews.com/intel-nuc-dn2820fykh-bay-trail-s…

Comes in under your 10w requirement.

These are the bay trail models.

        • Crap I may have to buy one then. :)
