1000m/1km White Poly String $1.50 @ Officeworks (Bondi Junction, NSW). Was $39.99

670

1st time poster, be gentle. Irresistible deal at OW. As a self proclaimed DIY expert handyman, how could I not buy 1km of white poly string at $1.50. On clearance, original price $39.99.

Was about 12 left. Not sure if other OW have them. Could not find on the website. Looks like In-store only.

Bondi Junction,NSW Office Works.

Here us a link to the exact product, (at another retailer)

Too bad gaffa tape wasn't on clearance. You could just about repair an entire house with string and gaffa tape.

I could have bought another 3km of string, instead of the snickers. (See the picture of the receipt)

    But the snickers really satisfied.

You are forgiven, you were not yourself when you were hungry

How could you forgive @rendo?! He committed the mortal sin of paying full price! Snickers / Mars funsize 12 pcs packs are on sale at Woolies for $2.50 ($1.99 with Everyday Rewards Card).

          Work was paying :) :)

Now that's a true OzBargain!! Lol

Let's just say I was highly strung

  • +3

Ah, but there's a snag, you see. Due to bad planning, the one thousand metres is in three inch lengths. So it's not very useful.

    • +1

Haha… I should have checked that!!!

Hang on, nope, the string is definitely one single kilometre long piece, but the snickers was not 1km long unfortunately.

  • If it was a megametre I may have been interested. $1.50 seems a bit rich for a mere kilometre.
