Cheapest on Static Ice for this 10.1" WSVGA is $479 from MSY (Price includes cash back)

Really cheap, they were on sale last week for $469 not including cashback. But at $488 still a real bargain! Postage to Melbourne was only $17.

As mentioned in the comments, stock appears to be added daily as I have seen 10 added on Tuesday, sold by Wednesday. Keep watching!

  • Good deal!

No more stock. Won't be able to price match with Officeworks =(

    • When I first came in, I saw 3 dude. So it's ur fault for being late, not the OP

    • +5

I bet you had no intention of even getting one. You don't seem to need an excuse to vote -ve.

      • Oh, it's not just me that's noticed that trend then…

  • website said 1 more stock left ??

    randomdude, a petty request:
Can you please make the title '$488 - $79 cashback'?
(still, a +ve from me for telling us, even if the site is now showing 0 stock)

(This is the D150 model with a three-cell battery, right?)

    • Actually it' the D250 model with 3-cell.

  • damn, i could have bought the last one.

  • +1

    Fixed…

This is the D250 with the 3 cell. Ebay has a fair choice of 6 and 9 cell batteries for $60-$120.

There were 5 left on the weekend, they sold out by Monday, but when I checked Tuesday there were 10 more (which have now sold)

Keep an eye on the page because I have seen stock added daily.

    • Thanks! I should have checked the model number in the title. :) I hope whoever buys one can report on the battery life.
Dont forget the cheap 500Gb 2.5" SATA external ($140 at OzStock/OzAb) for a HD swap if you want more HD space.
Can people who own OS X 10.5 retail install it onto this netbook? (I know the answer's a search away; just seeing if anyone here is going to try it)

  • it lets you checkout, does that mean i can still buy one, proabably not.

  • do any netbooks around this price range have dvd drives?

    • +1

No DVD internal, unless you get an Eee PC at around $1k. :(
An external DVD may be around $89, so consider that alongside whichever netbook.

I expect to see some other good deals here, as the new (`11.6") generation is released and effectively supersedes the current 10" netbook marketplace.

Still, this is a great option if (a) this vendor has stock and/or (b) you're able to get an OW 5% price beat. :)

JPower, let us know if/when you order. :)

      Cheers,
      Bizi

      • i cant decide if i should buy one, will i get a cheaper price as you said the new ones are coming out.

        • +1

Think about how much they can possibly drop in price - $20-50 - is this worth waiting for? The main thing stopping me from buying is the 3 hour 3cell battery which is nothing compared to 7-8hrs that is becoming standard (1000HE, new hybrid wind, Acer Timeline, new MacBooks). Also lack of 3G (yes, I know, for this price I gotta be dreaming) means you'll have a massive USB modem sticking out. And the 10" screen is a tad too small - 11.6" will be nice when they come out. This one is probably worth getting to cover next 6 months and then sell and upgrade…

One back in stock in Milton!

  • nice one!

Good guys are having some cheap deals too!

    • care to elaborate?

  • Any chance of a price match at officeworks or harvey?

    • according to Officeworks website, they don't stock these

      • its in their current catalogue for $650ish

        • +1

I couldn't find it in the OW catalogue and as oleglap stated, they don't appear to have D250s on the web site, only D150s.

-ve! I tried to place an order. It clearly said $429 inc GST. However, they sent me an invoice add another 10% GST make it $500! I emailed back TWICE to remove it WITHOUT RESPONSE, but it seems the owner ignore and want to rob people to double charge(2x) GST. Bad Customer Service!
