  • Excellent apps covering all topics by students in their respective grades.

A lot of schools use the targeting maths textbooks. This is more interactive with the benefit of instant feedback - making it a far superior learning tool.

I grabbed the year 2 one when it went free last year and have since seen this series of apps installed at school for use on their iPads since then.

    Thanks OP.

Sigh, this is another educational app that aims at the "lowest common denominator". Do we really need to insult our kids with stuff like this? It's filled with gimmicky animations and distractions that insult most students' intelligence. You really need to look hard to find the value in this one… Mind you, if you love reading eggs, you'll LOVE this…

I won't neg this deal, because it's free, but if you're a parent who is serious about educating kids (like I am), I'd look elsewhere for a math app.

The best "basic" app that I've come across to date is "king of math" by oddrobo software. It's far more focussed, and avoids the gimmicks and learning distractions… It also covers more topics. The rewards system is also far less distracting on "king of math".

One of my kids has a "learning difficulty" - and I can honestly say that I'd never subject them to an app like this…

    • Thanks DeeWalt for the review, I actually went ahead and got free version of "king of math" junior for my kids to try and will pay $1.99 if they like it.

  • Doesn't seem to be free… when you click on go to deal.. it costs $7.49. This is thru an ipad.
