      Target had this same deal about 6 weeks back, which i picked up. Don't know why they haven't been this price again since… Great deal though! Grab an external if you need one, think this is much better value than the premium version.

    Wow. That is a great deal. The white Wii U Basic Pack consoles are discontinued so these will be extremely limited.

          there's actually a new Nintendo console confirmed, but it seems to be in early stages.
          they've publically spoken about what it will be aswell as there has been leaks from anonymous sources.
          if the only relevance it has is whether or not to wait for it instead of getting a Wii U, I'd say just get the Wii U as it's not worth waiting.

          Third paragraph down. Nintendo hint at a new system (hardware) and software that revolves around QoL. Perhaps it'll just be a handheld or even a mobile, only Nintendo knows right now.

      What do you need space for? Save games at 10MB each? 400-800 saves games should go alright?

      If you're downloading games off the eShop, you'll need an external HDD anyway(Retail games are anything between 1GB-20GB and 32GB premium won't cut it) - I'm sure you've got a spare one at home already.

    Good deal, great product.

    To posters suggesting you need the 32 gig that the premium provides, I'd suggest you save your money and spring for an external HDD (which the wiiU plays nice with), as you'll burn through 32 gig pretty quickly too!

    I bought a wiiU in December, and have had a lot of fun with it. Its trouble have been widely discussed, and it does seem to be a flop commercially, but there are plenty of good games available for it (and generally fairly cheaply too)

    RE selling the games, EB and JB offer almost nothing for them - ~$10 each. I got ~$30 for nintendoland in January on ebay, and ~$20 for Just Dance 2014 (the other game that came free with my bundle from target).

    I bought wii u in launch as I'm a huge Nintendo guy. Bought this bundle for my brothers 30th few weeks back from jb. It's great value and I kept skylanders lol. It's actually decent fun do not judge as just a kids game until you play it. Also the limited figure you get does sell for decent amount on eBay if interested in making bundle cheaper. Buy if on fence won't regret at this price.

    bought the same deal from target for $299 only a week ago for my sons bday. good upgrade from the wii as you can use all your old wii stuff (controllers, sensor bar, games). then you get all your sons friends to give him nintendo eclub cards for his birthday to buy games. bargain.

        Well I don't know how you want me to confirm it but the manager showed me next weeks (From Thursday onwards) catalogue and it had the same pack that OP has shown. Just have to wait til Thursday but I'm 99% sure this is a legit deal.

    $99 at most retailers. The wii u version includes that gold metallic swashbuckler rubbish too lol.

    So in theory you could get nintendoland a wii u minus 24gb space and stands for $169-$159 should you be successful in selling the skylander stuff.

    chi ching. This might be my calling. Already have a hdd.

    Apparently most full wii games are 20gb anyway? NES REMIX is like 800mb, should be able to fit internally

      Regarding the Skylander Swapforce Starter Extras in the Wii U Basic Pack for $249 @ Big W

      EBGAMES have this for $99 and JBHIFI for $78. Please note in the wii you bundle you get a limited metallic.

      Sure Big W will now sell them for $68. Correct. It's an updated price i missed.

      Technically you can still have a wii u for $190-$200 if you can sell skylanders for $50-$60.

      Still a good deal imo.
