      Cant coupon stack..

  • Wonder if we can use this in conjunction with 15% or 20% promo code

      Groupon states:
On the check out "review and book" page, select "+ Promotion Code" at the top of the page and enter your unique promo code located on your Groupon.
So it would seem you receive a single use promo code and this goes where you would normally enter a 15% or 20% off code. Doesn't appear to be stackable to me.

Worth noting that "participating hotels" usually excludes major chains like Hilton, Accor, Starwood etc.

    • Have you got one?

  • What defines: $40 for $80 Off Thousands of Participating Hotels Worldwide on RatesToGo.com

    It that all hotels listed?

    • No it does not.

So basically ends up $40 off minimum $100 spend?

Not impressed, I bought the groupon and then went to use it only to receive this message. I have no use for this groupon aside from this one night at a specific hotel. It should clearly specify that it does not apply to all hotels that they use in their searches.

We're sorry the promotion code you entered is not valid for this hotel. Please see the promotion code rules for a list of non participating hotels.

That sucks to hear, I'm tempted to use my $10 voucher that Groupon gave me for their 5th birthday, making it only $30. Hmm

      • I called rates to go and they said there are many hotel exclusions for this promo and just because certain hotels show up in your search does not mean you can use your groupon for it….. I would have thought this would have been mentioned in the groupon ad.

Groupon has a 7 day cooling off period, just get a refund

        • Thank you :)

Please let us know what kind of luck you have in getting a refund. I need to book some hotels - but am wary about the exclusion list, and whether Groupon will give any hassles about the refund. Thanks.

I spoke to Groupon, they have said if the code still does not work in 24 hours they will escalate the problem and refund me.

    • Where's the list of non participating hotels? Can't seem to find it
