    WOW that's bloody cheap!!!

  • Great price if you can pick them up. If you need them delivered the Verbatims at 9289 http://store.9289.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cP… may be cheaper in total as they have free shipping at the moment.

  • can u pick up from parramatta? is it only ryde?

    21 units in stock

    Fortitude Valley Business Centre (QLD)
    8 units in stock

    Fyshwick Business Centre (ACT)

    • If you're near (same city) one of these HTs, OW should price match (-5%) without any hassle.

but the disk is made in japan

    • wow, haven't seen this package for a while (last time in JB for $19 a spindle), very good price for cheap TY media ….

      • Verbatim are not TY. They would probably be put in the top two in terms of quality dvd-r media but they are not one and the same.

        • What's TY?

Verbatim are one of the best anyway. Better than Sony. Maybe 2nd to TDK?

        • +1

FYI, there are rebadged TY YUDEN000-T03 sold as Verbatim DVD+R 16x Made in Japan. very rare these days …

          • @monkp: I stand corrected. Specific post is here http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1153391&p… Serves me right, I didn't look properly and thought these were DVD-R not +R :-(

Josh 81, TY stands for Taiyo Yuden that are widely acknowledged as the best quality blank DVD media available. They can be bought online from shops such as www.jpldisplays.com.au

@gabbyh: i dunno why people r so obsessed with quality when it comes to dvd media.

I've used good and cheap branded media and they all have the same result i.e the dvd works!!!

              • @neosin: Expensive ones are scratch resistent.

              • +1

@neosin: well. the cheap one's only last for approx 1 year. then you will get crc error when you try to read it.

defeat the purpose of having a backup eh???

  • bought 4 dvd+r verbatim for $13 each at officework today! (they can't allow 5% off because ht and officework are the same company, big deal :P)

it was $29 on the shelf :D

  • +1

What the… price go up $15 now.
Though I can price match @ OW tomorrow or on the weekend but will give it a miss.

  • +1

I can report both +R and -R are available for $15 each at Harvey Norman IT Clearance Outlet at Auburn NSW. There were about 30 spindles of each today.
