      I had an OCZ 600w, very noisy fans within one year, they want me send the psu overseas to get it fix. Cost more than a new psu.

      • Most power supply brands don't actually make the power supplies themselves (OCZ is one of them that doesn't) so just because one model might not be good doesn't mean all are. OCZ has had pretty "shit" ones but some have been good, just look up reviews before buying anything.

        • The (lack of) ripple in the OCZ 1000W reviews I read was pretty impressive.

          Those computer shop only sale, just like my hard drive broken within 3 days, still need send it to company, but at least it's in Australia.

    So tell me OP.. So should the item become a DOA within the 7 days, WILL YOU GIVE THE client the option of FULL REFUND (being it a major failure) as outlined in the Australian Consumer Laws? OR you will simply tell them we'll exchange it NO other OPTION (Which is illegal as it is the CLIENT that have the right to choose in this case)?????

    You won't silence me as you screwed me over telling me to come back with the missing part and we will issue you with the REFUND. Then when I come back for the refund with the missing part YOU TELL THEM that you will only EXCHANGE IT!!!!

    I wanted my refund as I DID NOT EVER WANT TO SHOP WITH YOU AGAIN!

      To be honest with you. I'm not sure what you're referring to. Posting random comments doesn't help. If we offered to exchange the product, is that not satisfying our legal obligations of providing a working product?

      • Blatant lie! YOUR LEGAL OBLIGATION is to provide the option of a REFUND for a DOA as it is under the MAJOR FAILURE. This unit was faulty the day I bought it, but could only confirm it when i was installing it on the clients premise….

        Oh before i accuse you.. I am Sorry if it is not the same shop! WEST MELBOURNE CPL I am referring to (now we are both on the same page. ), with the manager named J**** arrogant prick on the phone.. Ask one of the sales guy on MONDAY lunch (I had a melt down fury there because when the sales guy at the front tried to confirm the REFUND with the manager JE***, he went back on his word and told them to offer me the only option which is an EXCHANGE!!!! Maybe this manager has got a short term memory.. .but I was just there on SUNDAY (the day before)! I have all the warranty paperwork. I even have a verbal recording of the agreement… Even check your security camera on 17/03/2014 - approx 1pm you will clearly see how animated and angry I am to be told of my ONLY OPTION of EXCHANGE!!!! Now that you know who I am..

        I DO NOT WANT YOUR EXCHANGE OR STORE CREDIT.. I DO NOT PLAN ON FURTHER BUYING ITEMS FROM YOU AFTER THE YEARS I'VE SHOPPED THERE! I absolutely deplore the attitude of your manager!

        Perhaps you should speak to J3** about his conduct before I fill this VCAT case form. Pretty confident you'll have to refund me the mere $69 in full but also pay the $100 lodgement fee + other costs!

  • In a perfect world where DOA or faulty goods don't exist, buying with CPL is fine! So long you don't have to deal with warranty of wanting your money back! Most of the time I would've just agreed with a replacement under certain circumstances eg… after 14 days.

    Just wait till all the happy campers that buy at CPL come across the need to get a DOA item refunded!!!! Treatment you will get once you mention "REFUND" will make you furious as they will reveal their real character!
