I wanted to make sure this worked before posting. I received mine today http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/39370/21622/image.jpg . Took about 1-2 weeks to arrive and arrived by express post. I used a PO BOX for my address. The fire blanket measures 1m x 1m in size.

There are a lot of questions to answer but you can finish it a lot quicker by just putting any random answer.

No need to actually answer any questions, leave them all blank and keep pressing next still gets to the "Thank you for your participation in our survey. To receive your free Quell Fire Blanket valued at $17.95, please complete your details below. Your fire blanket will be sent to you within 21 days." end screen.
No "you missed a question" nags.

If you are worked about security of the alarm use questions, no need to answer them.

they've giving you a product for free, at least you could do is fill the survey out

      • +1

Some random answers may not be any better than all blank. If any people plan to randomly click the options, then leaving them blank could be a smarter idea for both ends.

      • They are giving a free product to CHUBB Customers.

Unless you are a CHUBB customer you can not correctly answer the questions that are most importent to them (the customer satisfaction stuff) anyway. Not directed at storyteller personally, for all I know he may be one of the 3 legitimate CHUBB customers that filled out the survey from this thread.

People are quick to take advantage of a survey meant for CHUBB customers but also quick to neg me pointing out that you can further take advantage by not even answering all the questions.

Not comfortable answering questions about alarm usage - leave it blank.

I (not a CHUBB customer) did complete the survey, however they may cross reference the survey details against their own database of customers so until fire blankets actually start shipping out then the rest of us may not be getting anything.

I'll be really pi55ed off if my house catches on fire between completing this survey and receiving my blanket.

Over 300+ likes and 5000+ clicks, this is on fire!

  • +3

I feel a bit bad for them because they're probably going to get incredibly weird results when they gather the survey statistics.

  • +4

I have just filled in a survey giving proper answers. It took me 5 minutes.
Pay respect to others, guys. And hopeful;ly they'll treat it with dignity as well.

  • Thanks to the OP, always handy to have a fire blanket.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • +2

    Anybody received theirs?

    • not that im ever expectant for freebees but this one certainly is a next level not expecting it. they probably only got one or 2 a month in the past, then within 24 hours they get like 2000+ signup's. pretty sure they will be checking there membership lists etc (if not just writing it off as fake signups)

      • -2

I kinda hope they don't send mine. I feel bad that I partook in this, I wish I hadn't. It was clearly meant for their customers.

        • +2

dont feel to bad… friend of mine was just organising monitored security for a safe room at his premises which needs to include legally defined sensors etc and even after telling chub exactly what he legally needed they tried to claim he needed about 5 times the cost worth of sensors (seismic sensors on every wall etc). he ended up telling them where to shove themselves and went with another company for about 1/5th the install price and about 1/3 the monitoring price and was just given the green light from the police inspection.

tl;dr chub are arseholes who overcharge way over the top :D

dont think we will be receiving these..

    • agreed

      • Ooh, new posts to this thread. I got excited, thought people might have been coming back to report their fire blankets being delivered.

Alas it's not to be. No freebies, but at least we all had fun doing the survey, right?

        • I did the survey seriously, and pretend to be a customer of Chubb from my heart, imagine what it might be like if I am their customer. After so much effort, I got not even a blanket.

  • +1

So no blanket and now they have my address. Damn you chubb!

  • +2

Nothing here either, cheapskate failed Chubb!

  • Did anyone even get one? or did they just take your information and escaped?

    • only OP got one before posting this as a deal, then chub got flodded with thousands of clicks and realised they were getting scammed and shut everything down without sending them out

I've asked, and received permission for this thread to be opened, so I could add content.

It also has been authorised to discuss this.
Did anyone else get this delivered to them today ?

My personal opinion upon this, is that a good will gesture could of done a lot more for the company, than the time/effort that this would of required and probably cost less too.
For me, I filled in the survey honestly and stated that it was also a test of their companies suitability for consideration in the upgrade of a family members current home security system.
Their response has ensured they're firmly off the list of prospective suppliers.
Nothing like good service and this, unfortunately from my experience at least, is coming up short of as such.

also see my reply about how "awesome" chubb are here:

as i had said… chub are arseholes. they are the biggest thieves when it comes to security you can imagine. unless your a million dollar client of theres they really treat you like shit. they lie and cheat to increase there sales with no thought for how it actually effects there "brand" and only look after there biggest clients.
