At SUBWAY® Restaurants your options have just got a little more colourful with the addition of our newest ingredient – fresh baby spinach, and for a limited time only at participating restaurants, you can also add FREE avocado to any Sub!

You should see a sign advertising the free power pack (baby spinach + avocado) on the menu board, can't miss it.

Updates/Details

  • Avocado costs $2.00 for a 12" subway normally. This is available to all customers, fresh club membership is not required. Avocado isn't included in the free salad range, like beetroot it is an extra add on.
  • Valid with ANY sub/meal, including the $5.95 value meal (6" inch sub, cookie and regular drink)
  • Promotion is nationwide, including SA on the run stores, the store believes the limited time only line is in case stores don't have stock due to seasonal issues or similar.
  • The baby spinach addition is a permanent addition to the free salad range starting today I believe.

Make sure at checkout the store doesn't charge you the extra, as the deal only started today and the store I went to had no idea what I was talking about even though the massive sign for it was directly behind them.

    Oh and can anyone point me in the direction as to what is meant by "Subway claims thumbnails infringe copyright" - I have no clue what that is about - what happened?

      It's been that way for a very long time, I guess people haven't seen it until now, because most subway deals aren't worth upvoting.

      Subway claim thumbnails was illegally diplaying their copyrighted logo and trademark. So they threaten to take legal action.

      So now for every subway deal link to their website we have this thumbnail instead.

      McDonald deals was ban for a period of time just because of similar issue.

          Ah I see, it's certainly still here in SA, had it today and Monday at 2 different stores. It's still on their FB page but hard to know since the promos always say 'limited time only' and never give dates.

    Their "avocado" is terrible. Some horrible paste that probably contains less than 90% avocado. Anyone know the ingredient last? Their mobile site breaks when I click to find out on my X1. However, as a subway fan I wouldn't even have it for free.

      They list it as avocado puree in the ingredients list, so it isn't clear what % avocado it actually is, I am sure it's not a lot as you say and no where near the $2 they charge usually.

      Actually the avocado is about 99.9% avocado with a small amount of some preservative to stop out going brown immediately. Some kind of food acid IIRC. However due to the way they are processed small amounts of skin may sometimes be present. No seeds though.

      Source: I know a guy that works for the company that provides their avocado.

        every time i look at the avocado its brown??

        that's why i never get it, pay 2bux for crap that will ruin the sandwich

          The food acid will only stop it going brown for maybe 2-3 hours, if they have a quiet time with no one ordering it then yes it goes brown. You could just ask them to scrape the brown off the top, underneath should still be fine.

    Could not find ANY Subway in Sydney City which still has the $5.95 deal.

    They all now charge the normal price for all Subs.

    They all also have the Baby Spinach and Avocado.

    Where else does the $5.95 deal exist? Does it exist at the WoyWoy Subway?
