JAPAN Nagoya (Chubu) Return From SYD $550, MEL $598, PER $597, ADL $603 on Air Asia

260

Inspired by tightarse’s hard work bringing you flight deals, I present my one man DOS attack on the Air Asia booking site.

Some sample dates:
- SYD: 28 Aug – 17 Sep (good fares from July. Also has Tokyo/Osaka avail for an extra $60)
- MEL: 29 Aug – 17 Sep (good fares either side of these for ingoing and outgoing, a few Osaka dates for an extra $60)
- PER: 22 Jul – 10 or 17 Sep (good outgoing fares late July, bad in August. Also has Tokyo avail for an extra $60)
- ADL 15 Jul – 10 or 13 Sep (also has Osaka avail for $593 26 Aug -14 Sep)

Looks like Gold Coast misses out, couldn’t find anything under $950 to Chubu, but does get Osaka flights for $601 15 Jul – 13 Sep

Check your transfer times! The Sydney flights on the dates above seem to be fairly reasonable but some are truly horrible, 13 hours in the LCC at Kuala Lumpur does not sound like a nice way to finish a plesant holiday in Japan.

Might want to mention the airports in the Chubu region.

No everyone understand how the Japan regions work. =)

      Elaborate please.

Many regions in Japan. Not in Tokyo.

    • Fair call, edited to specify Nagoya

+1 for one-man DOS (denial of service) attack

Nagoya is really nice. Very arty and Melbourne like.

  • For a 13 hour stop off at LCC I'd take the bus to Sentral then head out to the Batu Caves.

I have a flight on AA in the new year and we've specifically planned to arrive at 10am in the morning so we can go do that (flight leaves at 11:45pm).

Went to the Batu caves a couple of years ago. Pretty grubby and boring place. Best thing about it was watching monkeys chasing tourists around trying to steal their softdrinks.

      • Sure but if you have a 13 hour lay over, it's better than sitting in that shed.

  • Thanks for putting in the effort. I had a couple of friends visit Japan recently and they loved it! This deal makes me want to go even more.

  • During this time it's likely to be humidly hot!
