Asus Transformer Book T100 for $499 at DigitalStar.com.au (Free Shipping), Save 17%

Great price for the T100, even better is the free delivery. I know it has been cheaper before, but in comparison to what the major shops are currently pricing it at (JB: $598, Harvey Norman: $588, OW: $568), it's a pretty good deal if you want it now.

On top of that, I managed to get my local OfficeWorks to price beat this one by 10% yesterday. Only paid $449.10.

The one in the picture looks broken.
    The screen has fallen off.

Is that why it is discounted ?

    • Well I laughed…

Not worth. Has been cheaper before…

    • Other than the EBAY GoodGuys deal, where/when was it cheaper?

      Are these any good?
I am thinking about getting one…

I got one at the beginning of the year for $455 from Officeworks; but this seems to be the cheapest price at the moment.

        I've been happy with it.

The T100 on ozbargain has become like the nexus 7 used to be.

JB will do $500 at most stores if you ask them nicely and wave cash in their face. They like the smell of money.

    • Went into two of my local stores last week when the price was $572 at JB. One would only go as low as $550 and the other wouldn't budge from ticketed price. Had cash too.

Anyone know where we can find similar models with the Z3740 or Z3680 with a larger screen, without the keyboard? I looked at alibaba and they are like $150 a piece… Is that for real?

    • you don't want to buy a piece of junk

    • Can get the HP Omni 10 which has a full HD screen and although it is the same diagonal size it is 16:10 ratio with I prefer. Makes it better in portrait. Runs a Z3770 which is a bit quicker than the T100's Z3740, no keyboard. $398 regular price. http://www.harveynorman.com.au/hp-omni-10-tablet-slate.html

  • this or surface pro 2?

    • If cost is not an issue, surface pro 2.

Even the grey-import is still a bit too expensive for me :(

    • I chose this one for a number of reasons. One of the main being cost, second was battery life, also because the Surface keyboard is flimsy compared to traditional laptops and I wanted the stability that the Asus (/any laptop) offered.

Internal hard drive and RAM may be of concern to you, but for me they weren't as this is replacing a 5 year old netbook that only had a 16GB SSD, so all of my non-essential documents are on portable hard drives anyway.

  • Saw them for $499 at HN yesterday so don't think this price is too special.

  • How did you get Officeworks to beat the price by 10% when their lowest price guarantee only states 5%?

Was just automatic on their computer when they input the price match details. My guess is it was a product on the back to school list where they do 10% for those items.
