So, remove the AC Charger and make the price slightly less than the KOGAN HK price? I believe that the one from KOGAN HK includes an AC Charger suitable for Australia? (Or at least an approved HK/UK to AU plug adapter?)

    • I bought one when 5C got released and can confirm that the package included a HK/UK AC charger AND an Australian one!

Btw, I got it for $549 delivered (free delivery day) back then too.

From this same suppler - 1-Day - or from KOGAN HK?

        OP - I note that 1-Day state:-
        "Contents Include:
        iPhone 5c with iOS 7
Apple EarPods with Remote and Mic
        Lightning to USB Cable
        USB Power Adapter
        Documentation"

Not too bad a 'deal', if you can take the risk of no local warranty and no local 'out-of-warranty' support - or if you have a good way of getting it back to Hong Kong.

From Kogan. Apologies for the omission.

        • From Kogan. Apologies for the omission.

No need to apologise - it could have been 'read' either way.

Yes, KOGAN HK include the AU Charger.

It appears that this supplier does not.

The warranty is an apple one, this means its it covered in AU as well.

Please DO NOT LIE to us OzBargainers.

You should know this claim IS NOT TRUE if these are not AU/NZ Market model iPhones.

      • These iPhones are AU/NZ stock. Not sure why Apple HK is being discussed, these phones have nothing to do with the Kogan HK that was mentioned in the above comments.

They are brand new so they have a full 12 month warranty with apple. As well as that, the phones have a standard 12 month 1-day warranty that we offer with all of the products we sell.

        • These iPhones are AU/NZ stock.

That would be wonderful, if true. However, it would not appear to be at all possible. From where would 1-day possibly obtain AU/NZ Market iPhone 5c handsets at less than say $500? (To allow for some small margin).

They are brand new so they have a full 12 month warranty with apple.

          Yes, with Apple HONG KONG.

1-Day's own staff have stated that the phones would have to go back to 1-day if there were any problem(s):->

"we have had cases of apple NZ/Au advise customers that they need to go back via us to have the warranty processed"

So, obviously NOT a AU/NZ market model.

        • Again these phones have nothing to do with Hong Kong and we do not have to disclose where and how much we obtain our products for.

We have talked with the Customer Services representative you spoke with and he was unaware these were NZ/AU market model iPhone 5C's. In the past there have been cases where customers have been advised by Apple NZ/AU to contact us for warranty issues when those phones in question were not NZ/AU market models.

We can guarantee customers that these phones are 100% Brand New NZ/AU market model iPhones and have full Apple NZ/AU 12 month warranty as well as our standard 1-day 12 month warranty.

IF TRUE, which I still very much doubt, I recommend that those who want to buy should price match at their local Apple Store (Australia or New Zealand).

          http://www.productreview.com.au/p/1-day.html

Also, as you are only Associated and not a Representative, how can you give such assurances and how do you know from where these phones were first purchased?

        • I don't think you guys got the phone from Australia, and just because you don't get it from Hong Kong doesn't mean squat, it could be from anywhere else and Apple wouldn't fix it if it broke.

Also if you see my issue with 1-day below, you can't even honour and active warranty for me, so how can anyone trust what you are saying? It's just sheer laziness or cost benefit on your part that you don't honour that warranty, no reason for it whatsoever, you just can't be bothered send it to the US, so in actual fact you are selling something with a warranty that you have no intention ever providing a warranty for, probably because it won't be worth your while to send it overseas to have the warranty enforced if the unit broke. That's false advertising and surely outside Australian Consumer Law

The warranty is an apple one….

      Yes, Apple HK.

Your own support person, Chris, says…

"The warranty is with 1-day so any issues you need to contact us as the first point ….."

"The phone is first assessed and if it can be repaired this is first option before replace or refund…"

"As we are the seller of the phone the warranty is with us ….. As we have had cases of apple NZ/Au advise customers that they need to go back via us to have the warranty processed…. "

"They don't go back to HK…. If there is an issue the phone and needs to be returned to us we cover this cost and we have techs available to check the phone out , If unable to be repaired then replaced if we have stock or refunded.."

They told me the same about my laptop, and it can be 100% repaired very easily, but they didn't even bother. So do you think they will be repairing your iPhone if it breaks? they refunded me because it was easier for them. Moral of the story is don't expect any support from these guys:

        1. You can't call them
        2. You can't email them in the first instance even (only email them back)
        3. I've never been on their site while live chat has been available (could be the hours I keep)
        4. They aren't interested in either honouring warranty or fixing my laptop (which is what they promised) they took the lazy option and provided me an unwanted refund.
        5. They don't make any compromises or explain why, and when they get sick of you they stop responding to emails

        These guys take the cake

  • I strongly suggest that this should be read BEFORE anyone thinks of ordering a 'phone from these guys.

  • I have purchased for my nephew, I will post back when received and any issues encountered.

I will run the phone through the Apple AU warranty check, and if not covered I will notify, and will not let them post here again.
If A ok, I will also advise, of good service .

I hope it works out for you.

I will run the phone through the Apple AU warranty check, and if not covered I will notify, and will not let them post here again.

The best way to check is to call Apple on 1300-321-456 and press "2" for iPhone support. Then ask the support person to please check the IMEI number. Ask where the 'phone was supplied/first sold, perhaps also if it was ever carrier locked.

If A ok, I will also advise, of good service .

Thanks. Would also be interesting to know the delay between your order/payment and delivery.

Oh, what timing! I have just lodged my Fair Trading complaint about 1-day, and can I tell you THEY REALLY SUCK!

    I purchased this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/97655

9 months later, the hard drive in the unit died. I contacted 1-day (who btw only respond to online contact form) and then got a response saying 'get in quick you are almost out of warranty' even though there was a couple of months left easily. As the warranty was provided by Toshiba USA, I offered for them to provide me a refund for the price of a new HDD, since I could replace it myself in no time flat and not wait for a US warranty turn around. They didn't respond to that, they just advised me 'return it to us and we will repair or replace the unit'. No mention of a refund.

Fair enough, returned the unit, then without any consultation was provided a refund and told the unit wasn't repairable. First, this is a lie. Second, they didn't even give me the option to get my own unit back from them broken! Third, Abbie (their rep) tried to tell me that they didn't promise to repair or replace it, but they did and I have the email to prove it which I sent him/her. Following on from that, he just said 'we can't get it repaired, and we already refunded you' I think the first part of that statement is a lie, as it was 'warranted by Toshiba USA' as evidenced on the sticker.

SO the upshot was, after wasting lots of time researching, buying, receiving incorrect model computer (resulting in me having to buy W8 as they sent me W7) then using it for 9 months, then all the crap above, I had my WORST EXPERIENCE WITH WARRANTY EVER and believe me I have had some bad ones.

Please, please rep, tell me you can get me my computer back!
