    Sprayer gun has been awesome, no leaking from the fittings. It's great that the sprayer is not just on/off in that you can control the volume by the pressure applied on the trigger. It has made watering a large garden so much easier. Thanks!

    Can you provide more information than a "Quality hose"?
    Some of the hoses I've seen in reels look like they come from the $2 shop.

    Also why is it $40 for 10m more hose, are the reels different (i.e. larger or smaller) depending on the length of hose required or are they all the same size?

      I bought one of these last year and I can assure you they are great hoses and worth the money to get it. I like the no kink and no leak on the connectors. Mine has been mounted outside the house, no wear on it so far.

      I agree, that some of the hoses in auto rewind hose reels are far worse than most cheap standalone hoses. This isn't the case with ours.

      Some reels I've come across contain hoses that pinch easily in your fingers. The problem with this is that if you get a pinch somewhere inside the reel, say 15m in, it cuts off the flow so that you need to extend the entire length of hose to get the pinched hose to regain its shape and get reasonable water pressure.

      We use a much thicker, high quality rubber hose which is difficult to pinch/kink. This heavier hose necessitates that we use a heavier spring, which in turn requires a more durable housing, etc. So, while our hose reels are more expensive than many on the market, there is justification.

      Hose reels are only as good as their weakest link. This is why we have focused on the quality of the three things that typically fail in these devices: the hose, the springn and the casing.

      It may seem expensive for additional lengths of hose, but because the hose is high quality and quite heavy (compared to many others in reels), the casings must be substantially bigger and heavier to accommodate the additional hose.

      I hope this explanation makes sense, but if not, I will try to elaborate.

      This is a common question and I appreciate you bringing it up.

        Hi Rep. I already have 2 of your 30m hose kits (great product by the way) but have since been longing for a good hose reel to wall mount them. Doesn't need to be an auto rewind, but do you guys recommend or have any retrofit products that I could use? Would rather not have to buy a complete new hose + reel since I already have great hoses.

          Awesome to hear you're enjoying the hoses. Our standalone hoses are bomb-proof and should last you many, many years.

          Unfortunately, we don't currently sell a manual hose reel unit, but this is something that we are continually asked for and we are actively working on. We are also working on a super heavy duty mobile hose cart which should be available soon.

          If you were to purchase a manual reel from another manufacturer, you would want to check the following:

          • Ensure that the water inlet may be unscrewed from the unit to reveal a thread (to screw on/in a Hoselink connector)
          • That the external fitting does not spin with the reel, rather that it is independent from it. Our fittings aren't designed to spin (although we do offer a swivel connector that does), so if the fitting spins, the hose twists and the system won't work.

          If you have additional questions regarding this, it may be best to give one of our friendly staff a call. They are very good at finding solutions!

      Until now, we dodn't think there was a hose that was truly No-Kink as this is usually just marketing speak and we had never witnessed a hose that could not be kinked - until now. We would not make the claim unless we could stand behind it 100%.

      Unfortunately we can't put this hose into a reel as it is a bit larger and diameter and then expands slightly. The expansion means we couldn't make an auto reel with this hose. That said, as a standalone hose, this "No-Kink" hose is incredible.

      I have tried repeatedly while filming demonstration videos to kink it and it simply will not kink!

      Now, the hose in the hose reel is no slouch and does not kink easily. We don't tout it as a "no-kink" hose, but due to how you use a hose reel, you are much less likely to get kinks. The hose is always the perfect length for the job at hand and there is no extra slack for a kink to occur.

      The hose always retracts back in a straight line with its feeder mechanism and the swivel connector on the spray gun ensures that the hose does not tangle.

      If I had to choose one or the other, I would go hose reel all the way (I hate putting hoses away), but really, you can't go wrong with either.

        Hmm, I'd really like to get a hose reel, but I'd also like the no-kink hose given I will need to take the hose around corners which could cause it to kink. Not sure what to do…

          Corners make things a bit awkward, but the reels do pivot 180 degrees to give you some flexibility. As long as you aren't pulling the hose 90 degrees out the side of the reel and the hose isn't rubbing on rough surfaces you should be fine.

    $20 off isn't a deal breaker but if you are in the market for an auto hose reel then $20 and a bonus sprayer is better than nothing as these are the best auto reels on the market.
    I've had mine for over 12 months now and am almost tempted to grab another so I don't need to carry mine out the front when washing the cars (I purchased an extra wall mount).

    Hey Beau, any chance you can switch the sprayer and the wall bracket with an infinity sprinkler? If so I'm in for a 15m auto hose.

      In order for us to offer this deal the reels, fittings and accessories, must be pre-packaged as a set. The up-shot is that you wouldn't have to remove your existing fittings from the hose you have as these new ones are pre-fitted from the warehouse.

      Unfortunately, the reel must be mounted on something.

      We do have a fixed ground mount which can be mounted into a cement walkway if that's of interest:

      We also may have a small platform with wheels and four holes to peg it into the ground. This was originally intended as a mobile platform, but it simply does not work for that purpose - it really needs to stay in a single place.

      That said, if you were to stake it into a flower bed, it would be stable. It isn't something I usually recommend, but for people who cannot mount the reel, it is an option.

      We don't have this listed on the website as it isn't mobile as the design suggests - we would get a lot of complaints!
      I would recommend calling us up regarding this if you are interested. I think it would be $20 if we still have them.

      We are working on other mounting options for the hose reels, but I don't have an ETA at this time.

    For everyone thats on the fence with this gear, i can tell you its 100% worth the cost, we have a 6 or so in the workshop/truck wash bay and they get abused daily, talking about being run over, thrown around by the mechanics/truck washers etc and still work perfectly.

    If they can withstand the abuse we put them through, they will last forever around the home.

    The problem with this "Bargain" is that this it is not a Hozelock Auto Reel from UK which are far superior. This Hoselink reel is Chinese manufactured & out of the same factory as the ones from Bunnings where they are far cheaper with a different label. Hoselink may be a classic Australian con!

        Although there are other auto hose reels on the market, what asset1982 has said when comparing bunnings reels to ours is simply not true.

        That said, I have nothing bad to say about the Hozelock reel. They are good, but considerably more expensive (shipping?), come with standard click-on fittings, basic spray nozzle. I also prefer the color of ours, but as with many things, that is subjective.

        One thing I can vouch for is our service and after-sales support. Because we only sell direct, we don't make you jump through hoops if you have an issue. We always have your order record on file and we go to great lengths to ensure our customers are happy.

    How far can this be mounted from the tap. Also, does the connector from the tap to the autoreel come included? Is this connector hose used to connect tap to autoreel? How long is it? If my tap is on a side of a house and an awkward angle and position, would a ground swivel mount be better than a wall as it can swivel?

      Yes, the tap connector is included, so all you need to do is mount it on the wall and screw the connection onto the tap and you're ready to go.

      The leader hose from the tap to the reel is 2m, but you can extend it with one of our pre-made hose extensions (1,5m and 5m):
      1.5m - $12.90
      5m - $18.90

      or by using any length of hose and one of our "Hose Joiner Sets":
      Hose Joiner Set - $10.90

          Keen eye. Dan76n paid the difference between the Super Jet Washer and the Infinity sprinkler ($10).

          The Super Jet washer isn't a core part of the hose reel package and is only part of this special bundle. So, it is much easier to swap it out than to swap out a spray gun. If it were a simple switch, it wouldn't be an issue.

          Because of the large number of orders this sale has generated, it's very hard for us to do substitutions, especially on the spray gun. It has to do with the workflow in the warehouse, so I'm sorry I can't give a more straightforward explanation.
