Christchurch ex Gold Coast (Jetstar) Direct Incl. 20kg Checked Luggage $427.69 Return in July

41

My friends and I are using this super low fare as a replacement for flying Brisbane —> Queenstown. Instead we will fly from OOL to CHC, and then get a car or catch the bus down to Queenstown. Approximately $300 savings per person.

As the title suggests, flying from Gold Coast to Christchurch. This particular flight is in July however feel free to play with the dates on Adioso (much easier than navigating Jetstar's interface).

An equivalent flight from Brisbane on Virgin will set you back $478, no luggage included + booking fees.

The barebones price of the Jetstar flight is actually $371.19, $427.69 includes the cost of 20kg of checked luggage both ways.

Other extras are $5 for preferential seating, etc.

Make sure to pay using POLI to avoid the service and booking fee.

Enjoy!

Are Gold Coast flights much more expensive? Otherwise, not a deal.

    • I appreciate the feedback.

Throughout the year it is frequently $500, but regardless of the price from the Gold Coast, I'm sure there's other Brisbanites who might not realise the savings ($200) just from flying through the Gold Coast.

      I might be wrong though.

Air New Zealand depart GC 5th July to Christchurch, return 20th July:

$401 without checked baggage, $451 with checked baggage.

    • Do you actually have any time to travel in between posting deals on flights? ;)

      • Sorry.

        • That was a compliment

        • Actually they are trying to ship all Ozbargainers overseas so they can have the site to themselves !! :)

    • Doesnt AirNZ partner with Jetstar for these flights ? So if you book through AirNZ you pay a bit more, but will be on the same Jetstar plane?

      • AirNZ partners with Virgin. JetStar bookings would either be JetStar or Qantas.

  • "Everyday Low Price"

These were on sale for $250 last month return.

$100 each way is what I would call a bargain which they are every now and then.
