    • Ok you win this thread.

    • Anyone know if this mower is any good? The price for the one you linked to is great, only $299.

      • thanks dan76 - powerequipmentdiscounters offering it for better price but shipping is killer $36.55

      • I've bought that mower from PED for $299

Unless you negotiate it to be included, you will pay a bit extra for 600mL of oil and a fuel can.

The mower itself comes in a box and is a piece of cake to attach the handle and clip the catcher together. If in doubt, PED can do it for you instore (takes like 2 minutes).

Not a gutsy mower for those with thick lush lawns, but sharpen the blades and it does the job fine if you take it slowly.

    • +1

The model mentioned in the post is a combo model which does mulching too. And, it also has a different engine (B&S 500 series).

For anyone interested, Harvey Norman Penrith has this for $350. It is the last unit they have(ex-display).

I went and saw it yesterday. Not bad for that price. Original price is $449.

  • I just purchased a Rover procut 50 from masters. Used their price match policy to match this http://www.burnsmowers.com.au/prod69.htm so it came down to $427.50. Masters shelf price was $648 which is crazy considering its $520 on the rover website.
I went for this mower as it's got a bigger engine for mulching. It also seems quite a few contractors are using these (mainly the self propelled version) and finding them a great mower.
Gave it a go on the weekend with a soaked lawn and it mulched with very little fuss.

    • Could've gotten it cheaper as that website now lists it for $475 :)

      • $475 -10% = $427.50

        • Apologies. Didn't bother doing the maths

  • I have this mower. Bought it a few years ago for $329 at http://www.mowercentre.com.au/rideon-mowers.htm

It has been very reliable and hasn't failed me once. I used to mow my auntie's 900sqm block plus my own yard with it. If I were to do it again, I'd pay a bit more and purchase a mower with a built in mulcher so you don't need to empty the catcher so often.

  • Damn! so hard to decide which mower to buy for 100sqm flat lawn in/around $400 mark :(

    • yes. me too….. still thinking…

      • likewise for trimmers - still hunting
