You can do the whole thing in 20 mins?

      • +1

yep! According to a vid on their website, they advertise it as being a basic first aid course in 30mins or less.

    • hi there how are u?? I have just completed my first aid course with clicktosave I work in childcare is this the full course?? how long is the certificate valid for??

      • if you work in childcare you would need more then this… senior first aid which lasts 3 years

        • ok so its not really irrelevant for what I need

        • so its not the right one?? ok cool thanks

I thought it was a free ride with ambulance.. :(

    • If you were a Qld resident you could have one.

      • You pay for your ambulance cover in a separate component on your power bill.

    • got a bill on my desk for $872 for a ride in a ambulance

  • +5

Can i put this on my resume ?

    • +7

you can, but it's an online course with no practical component. Make sure you don't mislead people in your "qualification"

    • +11

You can put anything on your resume. That's what makes them so much fun! ;-)

Now, in case of road accident or serious injure, you can seek one of our fellow OzBargainer for help, rest assure that we are now fully trained and certified in this free St John first aid course. ;)

Gonna have to charge you $1 per chest compression and $2 for every mouth-to-mouth breath. Times are tough, I can't afford new eneloops without billing you for this life-saving service.

      Thank you.

      • +1

Wouldn't it be the reverse? Chest compressions require a lot more effort.

        • +7

Have you seen some peoples mouths? I will be doing hands only CPR. Times may be tough, but i am not pimping myself out at $2 for some mouth-to-mouth action.
(Plus at the current rate of 30:2 at a speed of 100 compression a minute, it gives a slightly better return to focus on compressions ($100 per minute). Incorporating breaths (even at $2/breath) means that you lose about $4-$8 per minute!)

Harvey and Norman are playing golf one hot day. While approaching the ninth hole, they notice an old golfer teeing up. They wait but after the old man drives the ball he collapses on the green. The two men run up to help. After feeling the old man's pulse, Harvey tells Norman to run to the club house and call emergency.
Norman leaves and returns about two minutes later and sees Harvey and the old man going for it. Norman in astonishment says, "Hey, What are you doing? I thought you were going to give him mouth-to-mouth." Harvey replies, "How the heck do you think this started?" ;-)

        • Professionals!!!

        • Gerry Harvey… is that you?

      • Hold on, I'm pretty sure I saw a better deal on this a few days ago.

  • Thankyou for the post, I completed the test and learnt a couple of things too! Cheers

  • Just to clarify, the certificate isn't nationally recognised is it? To volunteer with St John and the likes, you will still need an actual Apply First Aid certificate, is that correct?

    • You don't need a first aid cert to join St Johns or SES or Fire brigade … they will train you, but for work purposes this is not sufficient.

      • You need Apply First Aid to join St Johns NSW

  • great thanks completed and printed 04:24am cheers

  • Awesome, thanks a lot. Been wanting to do this for ages, but never got the chance to go to one of those week long courses.

    • +1

This isn't a replacement for the week long course. Just keep that in mind.

      • Which week long course?

      • Yeah. I figured I wasn't going to bother with a one week course, so this is something I guess. It only took me 10 minutes to do and it's free.

  • Thanks done and shared on FB

  • Bookmarked

  • Done, Great find OP.

  • if you wanted a proper accredition then i think this is probably the cheapest from google searching;

if anyone can find a better one then let me know!

  • Is this the first aid certificate that you can use in medical field like the first aid that takes 2 days to complete?
