Voss Water 800ml Dan Murphy's $4.20 [In Store Only Now]

780

Ok probably not the best "deal" on drinking water (i.e. compared to your tap) but if you're just after the bottle this is probably the cheapest.

I got a few of those when I saw the forum thread and looks like they've reduced the price from $4.49 to $4.20.

Free delivery

Unfortunately they don't sell the smaller ones (375ml) :P Where can I get those?

Enjoy.

Edit 1: Wow didn't know it's that popular. Still variant is now sold out! Sparkling left: https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_382410/voss-sparkli…

Edit 2: In stores only now

These make for cheap and really stylish water jugs.

    Great stylish bottle to reuse

Pffft! Yeah nice bottle, but 100% of the reviews I read on this stuff said it was totally watered down.

I think I'll stick to the generic version that I have on tap. Speaking of which, I wonder if Dan Murphy would price match my current supplier's price of 0.2 cents a litre.

(These comments were inspired by jv. Hmmm… I wonder also if I can get him to sponsor my future comments - cash for comments! Nice)

  • sold out?

Billions around the world didn't even get access to fresh running water today, but meanwhile over here in the first world we're ejaculating at the thought of buy a glass bottle filled with water….

Many people want the glass bottle to fill it up with tap water and it's fairly cheap once you fill it up multiple times over its lifetime.

So I recieved a missed call from this mob, with a voicemail saying to call them back as they want to talk to me about my order. I didn't bother, so 3 hours later I receive a text saying that my items have been dispatched and to look out for the tracking number in email lol.

Moral of the story - ignore their calls and they'll give up and ship it to you anyway.

    • My order got sent today as well, same scenario minus the delay.

  • 64 votes? This site has jumped the shark.

  • and I missed :-(

  • Can someone tell me why this is a bargain? (genuine question) - what does it retail for elsewhere?

Check how much people pay for them on ebay:

      o.o

jeez - I guess it is a bargain then!

        Can't believe it :|

    • You're more paying for the bottle than the actual water. I use the bottle because I prefer it to the new mount franklin ones which are too thin or other types of plastic bottles & it's cheaper to buy then an actual glass drinking bottle.

    This is dizzy stuff, folks!

  • Wrf? New trend? Hahaha!

  • Got two last night from Dan Murphy in Endeavour Hills but the bottles say spring water from Norway instead of artesian water from Norway…anybody else noticed this?

    • In before omg false advertising!!! Let's complain to the ACCC.

      • It just confused me a bit…all the pictures I have seen online show "artesian"

    • I was just reading some information that apparently it is bottled from the same water source as the local tap water. It isn't really 'artesian' water.

  • Hey everyone, I know Herdsman in Churchlands (WA) sells 3 sizes for Voss (the common large & small & also an extra small, should have taken a pic for the mL) I know single is $2.99 for XS, $3.99 for S and $4.99 and they sell a 4 pack for the S for $9.99 so ~$2.49 a bottle. These prices are their usual prices I think (no special or promo tags on them).

I don't usually buy them since my friend used to work at a restaurant & they'd go through about 20+ bottles a night so if I wanted any, I'd just grab their empties! (:

p.s. the XS bottles are adorable (:

  • IGA (in Kinross WA) are selling the Sparkling 800ml bottles for $3.99. They had a few cartons left this morning.

  • Woolworths were selling them for less than $10 a few months ago, which is when I bought mine.

  • AN excerpt from Wikipedia:

"In 2007, Women's Health magazine rated Voss first among several bottled water.[1] However, in tests sponsored by Finland's national broadcasting company, YLE, three blindfolded wine experts rated Voss water lowest of the six waters tested, which included Helsinki public tap water.[2]

In October 2010, Norway's TV 2 reported that Voss has the same source as tap water from the municipal water supply in Iveland and, contrary to Voss marketing,[3] that this is not artesian.[4][5][6] TV 2 continued to maintain these claims despite Voss objections.[7]"

Got asked at the counter if I wanted a paper bag for it….

  • Saw the 800ml for $5 at Coles. They didn't have 375ml size.

    • 375ml are $3 at coles

  • Bought a couple of bottles in-store today, one still and one sparkling. Tried the still and I can taste no difference from the Neverfail downstairs which was expected. The bottle is cool however. I'll just keep refilling from downstairs and I have another for use at home.

The shelf was chockas with them at the local Dan Murphys.

  • My Voss Water just arrived with the free delivery. Gonna save for a special occasion.

    • Sounds fancy!
