there seems to be perfume sales on all the time with up to 50% off then there are the imitation brands that are even more.
add to that the amount of profit on perfumes anyway, more of a rip off than a bargain!

this seems more like spam to me….
Almost neg but i don't know enough about these ill stay neutral until someone else votes you neg :P . :D

    Im with wisc,

Sales sales sales, doesnt always mean bargain, provide some sample prices where you beat a typical competitor.

I can put a million posts on all the sales happening everywhere, but 98% of them are not a bargain when you compare to a majority of other places.

    This site is very expensive
    example:
    This sells cheaper at Myers
    http://www.fragrancesandcosmetics.com.au/men-perfume/Davidof…

and you can get it from most shops for 40-50$ while the site above price is 95$ after their great discounts. lol. what a joke.

Hi everyone, sorry to hear that you believe this is spam. This site is in fact moderated for spam so if the owners have not flagged our legitimate post as spam, you can rest assured that it isn't. At Fresh, we do not sell 'imitation fragrances' and we have not done so in the 5 years we have been in operation. All our products are 100% genuine and if you are not satisfied, we are more than happy to accept a return so we can refund your money immediately.

For those of you who need additional incentive to try Fresh and experience our great customer service, FREE shipping worldwide, quality products and quick delivery times, please feel free to use our 'welcome' discount coupon. We encourage new users who are genuinely interested in make up and fragrances to enter this code at the checkout to receive a discount of $5.

your prices are more expensive than myers.
      there is no real discount.

This website is called ozbargain for a reason. unless you are able to post a bargain please dont use Ozbaegain for free advertising. (spaming)

show me one good example of a good discount on a perfume of your choice. please go ahead ans share a link.

  • As above. No bargains here.

  • my wife has been on the lookout for some Yves Saint Laurent perfumes, the 2 she wants she can get on Ebay (from a well rated seller) for under $120 and that's for a 75ml and a 125ml of the respective perfumes. On here with your 25% discount it comes to $246…….ha ha ha

  • Unfortunately, we cannot match the prices of E-bay as this is an auction site and their prices fluctuate markedly depending on the product and the seller.

We believe our discounts across 16,000 products are a great bargain. For example, the Christian Dior Miss Dior Cherie fragrance is priced at $94 which comes to $89.30 with our Loyalty discount. Not to mention, if you use our discount voucher, you will receive a further $5 which brings the product down to $84.30. This will earn you 84 points to use towards your next purchase; a feature which department stores such as Myers do not offer. To view this fragrance, please click here:

Hi fresh, just an observation. You've been registered on OzBargain for much longer than most, yet in 19 deals from your store you've only managed to accumulate 13 +ve votes alongside 10 -ve votes. That is obviously a poor record.

You may want to give some thought as to how to engage with OzBargain better, and reconsider the deals you submit here for the scrutiny of seasoned bargain hunters (and self-avowed tight-asses). A special deal at or below cost price could be one way of starting to score some points.

Not many people would be inclined to buy from a store with a +13/-10 record from 19 posts, but a real bargain can turn things around.

  • Hi Huey,

Thank you for your feedback. I would say that 13 positive votes compared to 10 negative votes means that we do have a fair few followers who appreciate hearing about our sales. We regret you believe this indicates that our sales are not of value to customers. Do you yourself purchase cosmetics or fragrances?

We appreciate your suggestion to offer at product at below cost price and we have had deals in the past where we have offered free products though of course, in the business world, this is not viable all the time. Our stocktake products are in fact discounted considerably from the RRP and we believe that joining our Loyalty Club and earning your 5% off, points which reduce the cost of future purchases, FREE shipping worldwide and our 'welcome' coupon make our stocktake sale worthy of being discussed on OzBargain. In fact, our deals are very similar to other deals that are posted here regularly.

    Thanks again.

    • you do realize your 13/10 is extremely bad. with most of your deals having no one vote on them. (maybe one other person in most!) have a look at the other deals on the site, with may getting 10-20+…

1 negative is bad let alone 10.

I've been using the site for less time than you have, but its pretty easy to see the trends of a bargain rather than free advertising. just because something is less than RRP, doesn't automatically qualify it as a bargain. it could just mean the RRP is a rip off!

after all this site isn't called ozadvertising, or ozdiscount….

hey more than happy for you to prove me wrong, and show how its a bargain always after gift ideas for the significant other…
as an eg cheapest online is xxx dollars were offering this for yyyy dollars. save ZZZZ from the next cheapest place.

    • Hi fresh, it appears from your reply that you may not be as familiar with OzBargain as your length of membership would suggest.

To put it completely bluntly, +13/-10 (now +13/-12) from 19 deals is a train wreck of a record. Your first four deals did not receive a single +ve vote from an OzBargain member, three further deals failed to gain any votes and two recent deals received only -ve votes. In other words, 9 of your 19 deals - or almost half of them - did not manage to attract a single +ve vote. It is hard to think of a legitimate store with a similarly unenviable record. Meanwhile, many individual bargains are able to achieve 13 +ve votes, and you can see Top Deals routinely achieve far higher numbers.

OzBargain members vote with their mice, and even though I do not purchase cosmetics, others do and have judged your deals accordingly. There appears to be a consensus about your pricing and this will remain a stark challenge if you continue to post the same sorts of deals that have failed to persuade the price-conscious OzBargain community.

Again, just an observation. To be honest, I'm not completely sure why I decided to comment or offer any suggestion. I think I was intrigued by your very early user number and then by the unsuccessful history of your store after ~1.7 years on OzBargain.

      • I think its because your looking for a deal…and you want to keep this site as the place to do it, a place for deals rather than a place for spam,

i think assisting fresh to offer something more, beyond a normal retail is a legitimate reason for posting.. that and the genuine feeling of hating people getting ripped off. (not saying fresh is in this case…)

I don't think anyone could rationally argue back to these points as they are based on the facts of the statistics.

hence what I was saying, show us how your product XX is cheaper than all major retails by yyyy…

  • Hi Wisc,

Thanks for your opinion. We are not engaging in 'free advertising' as you call it as we only use this site when we have a new promotion when are prices are discounted. As our prices are already below the recommended retail value, when our products are discounted further, we like to tell our customers about it. Whether you believe the RRP is fair or not, it still means you can purchase with us cheaper than elsewhere along with our other great benefits such as free shipping, loyalty discount, and discount coupon which we believe constitutes a 'bargain'. We are comfortable posting our sales on this website and do not believe we are abusing it in any way.

If you are not interested in purchasing from us, that is your choice. But if you do frequently purchase cosmetics items, we feel that Fresh has a lot to offer this end of financial year!

  • Currently your posting is an advertisement for your website.

Please consider posting about just one sale item that you believe is a bargain. Quite simple really.
