I know… there's been a flood of posts for Vinomofo - but I still think this is worth highlighting in case you missed out before.

I ordered this last weekend and was delighted with to discover that the wine I received was the Schild Estate Shiraz which does seem to retail for around $20 a bottle elsewhere. (Dan Murphy's have it for $17.99).
I can't guarantee this is the same wine but it certainly sounds like it.

      Not my experience. Last order Monday received Wednesday (Adelaide Metro)

      Was courier delivered. I wasn't home and he even went around the back and dropped it at back door and left me a note, even though I didn't ask for this. I have dogs as well, so this is impressive as other delivery guys normally wee their pants.

      Pretty sure it's the Eagle Vale Whispering Lakes. It was the first case I bought on Vinomofo a while back. Very nice drop. I still have a few bottles left!

          For $10.80 a bottle, I would say definitely worth the price. If it's your first buy and you are getting the $25 discount on top then I'd say definitely go for it! Make sure you use a referral link, there a plenty on the referral link in the ops post, including mine haha :)

          It's a nice drop with a lovely finish. Goes down well with good steak. I'm keeping a few aside for a couple of years to see how they mature. But they are definitely very drinkable now :) I'd recommend.

          Edit: Also, I just did a search and the cheapest I can see it for online currently is $17.50 per bottle at cellarit.

    Just as a warning guys, it must be a dice roll on the quality status of the cases being sold, as from the most recent previous vinomofo, I was delivered the schild 2011 and it tastes like it has been damaged, ie left out in the sun or improperly stored / transported.

    I couldn't get through a bottle of it, it was incredibly acidic and had brutal tannins unlike a Barrosian Shiraz should have.

    I have a fridge or two full of reds and this one has put me off wine and deals like this.

    Heard a lot of the good reviews on the schild and was really hoping it would be the deal delivered but it definitely sound like there's a few bad cases.

    Sorry op but just be carefull guys about this

      That's not good! They have a guarantee and will replace for free, even if you just don't like the taste. So I'm sure they will replace for you if it's off.

        Yes that's bad news you could see if they could replace it with the 2011 cab sav, I've got two boxes of these and know another two ppl with the same . we are all happy . Maybe it was heat damaged during transport ?

      Thanks for the heads up. I purchased the Schild 2011 last week and it tastes fine to me. For future reference I'd be very interested in what other people think. It would be interesting to compare with a full price bottle from somewhere like Dan Murphy's to see whether there's any difference.

        Btw, I received my order for the Gunslingers 2008 Shiraz last night. Opened one bottle and it's very nice. If the Schilds is just as good then it's definitely money well spent.

          Alright…sampled both and I have to say Gunslingers is the fuller flavour, fruitier shiraz than Schilds, but then it's 3x more expensive…
