Was just in Big W QV Melbourne and found the Optometry section has just opened today and are offering 30% off all glasses for the first week only. Glasses start from $56 up to @$250-350 for brand name (Ray-Ban, DKNY etc) including single-vision lenses (eg.French Connection frame and sv lenses - was $238 now $166). Optometrist on-site.

  They've had it at a few of their stores already. I don't see it lasting long though, considering there are tonnes of optometries out there covering the budget business model already.
