Unlocked Apple iPhone 5S 16GB Shipped for USD $655.45 @ Newegg

141

Now that Newegg ships to OZ, found this quite a good deal. Only downfall is that warranty is not claimable within Australia as iPhone's warranty is only covered by the country of which it is purchased. The other downfall would be that the phone will come with a US plug.

For those feeling adventurous and is looking to save $200 off retail prices.

USD$639.99 + $15.46 (shipping to VIC)

Note: iPhone 5S sold locally for AUD$869 from Apple Retail or AUD$749 from Kogan.

LTE might be a problem for some.
Should work fine here with 3G (and every OzBargainer is likely on Amaysim 3G anyway)

Get apple care plus (lol..) while you are at it. (n.b. only available for us model and/or other overseas country)
Apple Australia are prepared to give you refurbished models/repair it (I think it is twice for accidental dmg). Have looked into it around a year ago, so correct me if I am wrong.

Not quite $200 as this deal ends up being around $720 delivered.

$700 delivered. The site have the option to display AUD. Not sure why the OP is not converting it. Leaving it as USD is quite misleading to the eye.

…and no 4G (in Australia) on it???? pfffft! next!

Given all iPhone 5S models support LTE band 3 (1800), you will get LTE/4G support. Band 8 (900) is also supported. Band 7 (2600) is missing in the US model.

Basically, there isn't an iPhone 5S model currently which covers every single LTE band. Warranty is probably a bigger worry though (since Apple AU won't have the US model iPhone 5S in stock to do any warranty).

  • Is Moto G 16G available?

  • Didnt Apple announce last year that warranty now covers every country - so e.g. if your on holidays in the UK you can still get warranty repair, so just claim your on holidays from the US if you need warranty

    • for letting me know New Egg now ships to Oz.

Ha ha. Actually put a "+" in front got turned into a bullet point.

  • yep, you can claim your warranty anywhere, i got repair in LA on Aussie purchased Iphone.

  • Good deal if covered by warranty. How much for a genuine Apple Wall charger?

  • Seven hungy? Ew.

Wouldn't you be better of buying from kogan for an extra $50? Seeing as you're already wasting so much money, you may as well waste an extra $50 for peace of mind on warranty, and being able to plug it into a 240v socket without an adapter.

Oh and LTE being a problem, this is even more of a waste of money if LTE doesn't work (haven't looked into it)

neg until price changed to AUD, will grumpily revoke afterwards :)
