Why did I read it as "beautiful breakfast $10" … then I saw the picture of the bucket and thought it may have been a breakfast in a bucket

Do you work for Aldi? If not, you really don't need to try so hard.

Do you thing it's awesome for cleaning metal bits in the oven?

    No.

And if you used oven cleaner, then the metal will be eaten away very quickly.

Our parents learnt that metal buckets are bloody useless, which is why people stopped using them about 40 years ago.

And soaking clothes in one? ROFL - good luck with that. Just wait until the rust stains spoil your white top, then you will understand why metal buckets are not so awesome - especially non-galvanised painted decorative ones.

No I don't work at Aldi. It looks so pretty. And I thought it's a good bargain. Never heard of a metal bucket before.

I did not know about rust- I guess I assumed the paint covers the metal so rust can't form (rust is iron oxide it needs water and oxygen gas in contact with it)

he may be cranky, but he speaks the truth.

there's plenty of reasons why plastic buckets are better than metal, and why metal is rarely used these days.

and considering you can pick up plastic buckets for like $1, is this metal one really that good a bargain?

not giving any negs- because maybe there is a person out there who specifically needs a metal bucket. maybe.

        • Metal buckets are great for putting pieces of discarded or UV-destroyed plastic in.
