      Not sure at all. I asked them why it was so cheap (we saw it in store originally) and he said something about them "having the rights to Pabst, so they can sell it for whatever they want"…. Didn't make much sense to me but maybe someone can help make it clear. I asked if it was going to be a new thing, and he said only for the next few days.

      I'd say pricing error on their part. I first saw it in Dan's late last year and was not going to pay $55 per case so they've probably had the stock for a while and need to move it. Error because people that know the beer only drank it in the states because it's cheeeap and those that don't won't pay that much.

    Very odd…if I select Albury as my local store (which it is) it comes to $54.90 per slab, but if I select Wagga it drops to $19.90. Despite its proximity to the border, Albury is still in NSW!

    Went to DM's at Corrimal, all sold out. They did say all cases were close to expiry date, so am guessing that's why they were marked down?

    Overall, the reviews about this beer are quite positive from what I've read. One of the negative ones on the DM website stuck out to me though, as that particular reviewer said the beer was "good for washing shoes". Not sure why, but found that quite funny.

        Yes, the day it expires it magically begins to taste like rat wee. Send your case to me for clinical disposal.
        Seriously, beer never goes "off" in the sense of being harmful. After some years, or weeks if is stored in direct sunlight, it will develop a less pleasant taste. But I have never had a beer that was unpleasant to drink due to age, and I have had many beers a year or two or more beyond their best before date. I have had a few that I didn't like regardless of their age, but obviously that is a personal thing.

    Thanks OP! Added a bottle of wine I was looking at getting anyway in order to get the free delivery. Add in the $5 AMEX credit and it's a real winner.

    Hopefully the expiry date is reasonable, although on a past experience with online orders they sent me a very short-dated product but happily refunded it at my local store, so even if this one is short-dated hopefully they'll do the same thing :)
