    • +5

People (idiots) often buy over rrp on ebay.

  • Is this deal for online or buy in store?
I don't think any store having stocks

Here are some of the dualshock 4's that sold for $79,99+ on ebay.
I only found a few that sold around the $60 mark.

I think Dicksmiths standard price for the dualshock 4 is $79,98.It's been the same price since launch with it coming down to the $60 mark during the gaming sale and 10-12% sales.

      You're forgetting to factor in shipping($7.15 - 500g satchel, price of satchel, appx. 25c) + eBay fee (9.9%) + Paypal fee (2.4% + 30c)

    • wow they went down that fast from the $90's? thought i was getting a bargain stocking up at $90 AUD equivalent overseas in msia, as they were all solid $95-99 here.

Or is this $80 after 20% discounts etc?

Feel like i got ripped now stocking up given I'm mostly playing, and not playing two players with anyone :S

Battery life of a PS4 controller is woeful, might be 5 hours of gameplay compared with the 20-30 of the PS3. Might be worth keeping so you can swap and go.

Battery life might be improved in the future.

    • +1

Yeah battery is BAD!!!! Feel like everytime i play my PS4 i got to charge it.
Then i play my X1 5 times as much and still dont need to recharge it.
I think its LED light that killing the battery, needs a update to turn it off. im hopping

      • +4

You're hopping? I'm sitting, not enough energy for hopping at this time of night :)

      • It is more likely the touch screen panel.

One LED could run off an eneloop AA battery for well over 30 hours (up to around 50 hours).

My intention is not to start a fanboy war here, but doesn't this problem really highlight the benefits of the Xbox's non-proprietary, removable, replaceable controller power solution that so many people were/are whinging about?

      • -1

whats this fancy non-proprietary stuff? u mean in 2014 xbox uses AA batteries? lmao

        • +1

It's decidedly not fancy - hence my point. The AA batteries that you are "laughing your ass off" about, seem to be better than a inbuilt, irreplaceable battery that lasts only a few short hours. Wtf is wrong with AAs anyway? Most electronics that require battery power use them - even in 2014 (gasp!) - which is why Eneloop deals go crazy on Ozbargain.

        • battery snobs

WARRRR!!! Nup, the low battery life of the dualshock 4 is a feature us Sony purist would pay extra for. Sony have kept the health of the gamer in mind and limited their game time and forcing them to break for things like; social life, sunshine, fresh air etc. It's this kind of caring & thoughtful attitude that is so rarely seen in the big companies today. I'd like to see MS give even the tiniest bit of thought towards the gamers health and wellbeing… making a product that can be played 24hours a day… exactly like it was intended to be… is just downright irresponsible.

        Sony; the healthy choice

        ;)

    • Fortunately this comes with two controllers, so it's a total of 10 hours.

  • Too much hassle sell back on eBay, I rather they give 15%off

  • I saw this advertised on Facebook: http://michaelaitkengaming.com/?product_cat=ps4
Is there a catch to these prices?

  • What are we assuming as shipping costs for such items through this deal?

    • +2

free shipping over $99 with DSE

      • Cheers

  • Is a PS4 worth it, if you don't have internet access?

    • I think so. The only downfall I can see is so far the game releases have seemed to snub local multiplayer. Hopefully future titles (Eg destiny) have 4 player local multiplayer.

PS4 controller bundle? There are no games to make a games bundle? :)

  • no price match with JB hifi Fyshwick in Canberra :(
